A client can walk through the door broken. As a therapist, I understand the impact of how thoughts can affect an individual's life in various ways (i.e. socially, emotionally, environmentally, spiritually, and culturally). When more tragedy strikes they may feel lost, broken, while only wishing they could go back to a place of normalcy and with their dignity.
This is where my experience in Trauma and Loss can bring compassion and patience to meet the client's immediate needs. We build trust as I listen to them tell their story. Utilizing CBT, Narrative, and Trauma-informed therapeutic interventions I can work with the client to develop plans and support services tailored to help them move forward.
