Welcome to Morning Calm Counseling & Psychotherapy! We all deserve to feel seen, heard, allowed to exist and take up space. Sometimes this can feel harder to access with the presence of challenging feelings and emotions that intersect with oppressive cultural and social systems. Our work together will seek to connect you with your authentic self and clarify the values that guide you towards living a life that is meaningful for you through the creation of a strong, mutual, supportive, and empowering therapeutic relationship.

I currently (5/27/26) have openings for nature-based sessions in Jericho and a limited number of in-office and virtual openings. Nature is a powerful source of grounding for the nervous system, and walk-and-talk therapy offers a supportive space for emotional processing, reflection, and slowing down. My approach draws on mindfulness, self-compassion, cognitive work, and somatic awareness to support building a deeper connection to yourself and your values. Whether on the couch, park bench, or trail, my hope is that therapy helps you reduce stress in a sustainable way and to move through life with greater authenticity and balance.

I offer therapy services for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Developing a dialogue between therapist and client we work together in the relationship to understand, and expand one's understanding of one's personal and life narrative. Meeting the individual at their level is important in the development of a trusting working alliance. My belief in the therapeutic relationship itself plays a pivotal role in the healing process, where my work is founded on trust, empathy, and humor. I offer my commitment to the human journey and look forward to working collaboratively with my clients to renewed understanding, growth, and healing.

Okay. Here's the thing. Nobody really knows how therapy works, or why some people get better with one approach and some another. What we do know is that if you connect with your therapist, and if you really commit to digging in and doing the work, healing and change can happen, and things can get better. And I can help you with that. I'll listen to you. I'll pay close attention. I'll meet you where you're at, with empathy and compassion and even some humor. And I'll tell you the truth.

NOT PRESENTLY TAKING NEW PATIENTS OR ADDING TO A WAITLIST What we experience in life both past and present shapes who we are, how we think and how we interact with and respond to the world around us. Our experiences can affect the quality of our lives, psychotherapy helps us identify, understand and work through experiences that affect us in ways that are not beneficial to leading happy, fulfilling lives. Working in collaboration with my clients I help them to develop new insights and new coping strategies in a supportive, accepting and respectful atmosphere.

I work with individuals experiencing generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic attacks, low self-esteem, depression, grief, relationship or family problems, life transitions, identity issues, and spiritual concerns. I also work with individuals who desire support while traversing pregnancy, pregnancy loss, post-partum and early childhood parenting stages. I provide a calm atmosphere, listen patiently and deeply, and am gentle but honest.

I specialize in working with individuals—particularly men—who feel stuck in their relationships or uncertain about their direction in life. Many of the people I work with are navigating midlife transitions, relationship strain, or a growing sense that the roles and strategies that once worked for them no longer do. Therapy often focuses on increasing clarity, emotional awareness, and intentional decision-making during periods of change.
My practice is grounded in Nature-Centered Psychotherapy, an evidence-based approach that integrates traditional therapeutic methods with the regulating and restorative effects of the natural world.

I work with adults, adolescents, and couples who wish to bring greater authenticity, meaning, depth, and awareness to their life journey. My approach is well-suited for those seeking a profoundly insightful and thoughtful approach to therapy. It is an honor to meet folks who are willing to look inward, allowing our conversations to illuminate the many layers of self. As self-knowledge deepens, so does the ability to shed versions of ourselves that no longer serve us. We meet our challenges with greater clarity and tact. We move toward a life path that aligns with who we are in our core; a life of ease, fulfillment, and truth.

I am a trauma-informed, nervous-system-aware therapist specializing in anxiety and emotional overwhelm.
Many people come to therapy feeling persistently on edge, caught in cycles of overthinking, panic, or emotional reactivity while still appearing capable on the outside. Rest can feel difficult and steadiness hard to maintain.
Most clients are looking for relief from anxiety, greater flexibility in how they respond to stress, and a more consistent sense of calm and confidence. Our work focuses on understanding patterns, strengthening regulation skills, and creating sustainable change.
