Have you awakened and are struggling to navigate the 3D world? Do you identify as an empath, a WooWoo or on the Red Road? Are you feeling isolated and disconnected because your vibration has increased and created more challenges in relationships? While on this life's journey, have you realized that you experienced trauma in childhood and don't know how to take the next step to heal these wounds? These experiences could be causing anxiety and depression, deflating your self worth and disrupting your focus and sleep.

Anxiety, depression or past trauma are holding you back. Everyone else seems to have it together, so why don’t you? It’s like you missed school the day they taught the secret to life. You see photos online of your friend celebrating her new promotion. Another friend just sent you an invitation to her baby shower. You wish you could be happy for them, but watching those around you accomplish their goals is hard when you’re not even sure what your goals are. You do know that this isn't working. Your job is dull and draining, and your last Tinder date was a disaster. You’re stuck! Something needs to change, and soon.

If you are looking for a non-traditional, creative and expansive therapeutic modality and are sensitive to music, I may be the right fit for you. Music therapy provides the opportunity to work beyond words and is guided by your own timing and inner resources. Many clients find that they are able to get to the heart of their issues more directly with the aid of music and imagery. They often feel more creative, less stressed and experience increased self esteem. I recommend a series of 6 sessions in order to have sufficient time and space to address your particular goal areas. Sessions can be bi-weekly and last between 1.5 to 2 hours.

I believe that everyone has the ability to heal and find their happiness in life. At times, we experience an event or events that may impact us in a way that we are unsure how to deal with and this can manifest in many ways. Whether you are a child coping with anxiety, trauma, or big emotions, or an adult struggling with a life change or mental health concerns, we all deserve empathy and support when tackling those difficult and often uncomfortable topics. It is my goal to create an environment where I am able to support and guide clients in being the best versions of themselves.

Disclaimer: I only offer televideo sessions on Wednesday's from 4:30-7:30. I only take Medicaid, and offer a sliding scale of 60-120 per session. Everyone experiences situations in life that are challenging. We often develop ways to manage these situations that are adaptive at first, and can become harmful, in a variety of ways, later on. I believe, and work to help clients acknowledge, that all our behaviors were helpful at one point. By accepting this, we can move towards healthier coping with acceptance and compassion, for ourselves and others.

Life difficulties come in many forms, and our nervous systems can go into overdrive as we attempt to adapt. This can cause long-standing patterns in the mind and body. We may feel out of touch with who we are, or like we are repeating patterns of fight, flight, or freeze. If you are looking for less analysis and words, and are interested in working directly with your body through your felt experience, this may be a good fit for you. Using curiosity and building capacity, we'll find places where you are stuck, and create long-term pathways to feeling more embodied and free.

Sometimes life is complicated, stressful, and can feel overwhelming, especially in today's world. When interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, or mental health challenges present themselves it is comforting to know that you don't have to sit with all of that by yourself. Connecting with someone and working on life's difficulties, whether it be old wounds or new, can be liberating and empowering. Together we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions; together we can work on the difficult and rewarding work of being the best version of yourself you can be.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, Lao Tzu. You have taken your first courageous step toward creating a more enriching life. No one embarks on this journey of healing alone, as we all need and benefit from guidance. I embrace a holistic, integrative, person-centered and strengths-based approach to wellness, steeped in empathy and compassion. Like all healthy relationships, the client and therapist alliance must be built on a foundation of trust, from which we can explore whatever concerns you; be it anxiety, depression or life transitions that may be interfering with you living to your fullest potential.

I am passionate about people and the stories that make up our lives. I often lead with the question: "What is your story?" And follow with, "What do you want your story to become?" I have spent much of my life examining the roles and symbols embedded in our everyday life, using creativity, interpersonal techniques, to inform powerful personal change. I have over 20 years experience working in therapeutic settings, cultivating space to honor the healing process and narratives in all of us. My compass is driven by compassion, curiosity, creativity and always some laughter. I will hold the shadows but also make room for the light.

I see the human person as made up of body, mind, and spirit, and each dimension affects the other, especially during times of crisis, stress, transition, and disharmony. Currently I am seeing clients who have been working at therapy for a while and have made significant progress in feeling focused and grounded in their life, but also feel there is something still missing, and are able to name spirituality as the area that needs attention.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with twenty one years experience working with families and individuals of all ages. A recent client had this to say about our time together, "your healing energy and...comfort that you bring to your practice is so warming, safe and empowering. You have undoubtedly contributed to making me "me" during a time of transformation [and I} will always have your many perspectives tucked away in my brain for when things get tough"

I operate under the belief that mental health and wellness exists at the junction of the biological, social and psychological facets of an individual, and that a balance is needed to address the human condition. With this in mind even the most difficult of concerns to address can be a profound force for positive change in someone's life.
