I focus on how we can stay at the evolving edge of your psychological ecosystem and pay attention to information we find there through both verbal and nonverbal awareness, dreams, images, and other access points for unconscious material and structure that with cognitive awareness into effective change. Sometimes therapy is a warm blanket, and sometimes it's more like physical therapy, stretching reflexes and habits into new territory.
If we can shine the light of awareness on our perplexity and tender places in a new way, clients frequently find that they can experience themselves from a more spacious perspective with a wider range of motion. I have training Buddhist psychology, somatic work, and Jungian dream work. I also specialize in I-CBT for OCD.
Strengthening the compassion and equanimity we hold towards our most tender places is the key to the door of change. I am here to reflect back to you what I hear, see, and feel during our time together so that you may begin to recognize yourself differently and be able to make different choices as a result.
