I am inspired by our ability to withstand and get through tremendous pain. Yet, in a cultural system that perpetuates trauma and oppression, it can be difficult to embody the sense of whole-ness that we desire. I want to walk alongside you in reclamation of your resiliency and vibrancy, finding your most alive self. Whether you are dealing with mental health issues related to trauma, oppression, isolation, relationships, impulsivity, grief, or other life pains; I want to center what matters to you, hold what you have to say with compassion, and help you rediscover a fullness in being alive and in your body.
I utilize traditional psychotherapy techniques while also centering your connection with nature. I draw on cognitive restructuring, EMDR (including intensives), nature based parts work (akin to internal family systems), psychodrama, mindfulness based interventions, and a systemic oppression analysis. Currently excited to offer a poetry therapy group.
I offer outdoor sessions in Seattle and in wilder settings as well. Sessions can include traditional talk therapy while sitting or walking; grief retreats, or EMDR and parts work intensives. There are current openings for intensives and retreats; there is a waitlist for weekly sessions. More information at Verdurecounseling.org.

Six week therapy group focused on creative expression as a way to build a cohesive internal story on a subject of choice. Sometimes our painful experiences make it difficult to hold a narrative that we can understand; this group is an opportunity to write about an experience in a way that both empowers and clarifies. Great for beginners. You do not have to be a ‘good’ writer. All groups will include the opportunity for personal sharing, some level of processing, and skill building. The group schedule will look something like this. Monday evenings 6-8 PM April 8 - May 13
