Whether with problems of elderly, families,couples or people facing job loss, academic problems, illness, bereavement, trauma or the loneliness of anxiety and depression, psychotherapy can bring relief and find inner strengths and possibilities. I focus especially on communication skills, and deprograming early dysfunctional messages which interfere with forming relationships in all aspects of life. Together we will meet your immediate needs and begin a longer journey towards fulfilling your deepest aspirations.
Thirty years experience has supplemented traditional treatment options including offering sessions creating genograms or transgenerational family trees which can vividly inspire insights with or without family members present. I strive to solidify clients sense of self through relaxed visualization, meditation, creative arts and spontaneous writing options to enable centered communication.
My work with medical staff has bought an ability to relate quickly, help clients feel comfortable with self disclosure, and offered reliable referral sources. i supervised residents in group psychotherapy, participated in staff triage, now maintain connections through grand rounds with inactive voluntary faculty status in a hospital psychiatric department.
