About
Currently accepting new clients at A Place of Growth. Welcome, my name is Vanessa Villasenor and I am a bilingual Spanish-speaking therapist who has experience providing child, teen and adult therapy in San Diego. The first goal will be to create a safe and comfortable counseling environment to and it is important to find a therapist that will work with you and whom you feel comfortable with in order to make the most progress. I provide a variety of counseling environments and styles to address your needs and have experience working with military families including both active duty members as well as their family members.
I use evidence-based practices including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, behavior modification, and trauma therapy when providing therapy. I work with individuals who struggle with depression & mood disorders, anxiety, childhood trauma & post-traumatic stress disorder, life transitions, military life, relational challenges and more.
The ultimate goal is to help you identify and overcome your obstacles so you can better adapt to change and live a happier, more balanced life. There is no right speed at which to proceed with one's healing. We strive to schedule all new clients within one week of contacting us so please visit our website for even more information.
