Hi there! I’m Vanessa Sewell, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and the owner of Boheme Holistic Clinical Services. I earned my bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and History from Western Kentucky University, and my master’s in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College. I’m currently working on my doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Lindsey Wilson University (and yes, they did change the name).
Over the past 6+ years, I’ve had the chance to work with individuals ages 4 to 80 across a variety of settings, including community mental health, foster care, schools, and inpatient behavioral health. Altogether, I’ve been in the mental health field for more than 15 years, and I continue to learn something new from the people I work with every day.
Through a variety of experiences, I’ve seen a lot, learned a lot, and picked up a pretty good understanding of the many challenges people face along the way. I also bring a strong sense of empathy, and just enough humor to help things feel a little less heavy. All of that helps me genuinely understand where you’re coming from so we can work together.
