About
Vanessa is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 83781) with experience in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families. She believes that there is no effective intervention without relationship. She creates a safe environment to address barriers, rediscover strengths, and grow in relationships, whether it be with oneself, friends, or families. Vanessa is passionate about helping people identify ways that trauma and attachment wounds impact current relationships. She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Vanessa values family support and early intervention with childhood mental health issues. Vanessa has worked with children in the foster care system and under-served families with DCFS involvement. She is trained in 0-5 Dyadic Therapy as well as in interventions to support parents' attachment to their child.
Vanessa provides therapy in English and in Spanish. She addresses the important role that ethnic and religious culture play in shaping our perspectives and relationship experiences.
