Vanessa Joy
Licensed Professional Counselor, PsyD, LPC-S
Location
I use a strength-based collaborative and active approach and believe in treating the whole person. I integrate research from various sources including: the latest understandings in neuroscience and how it impacts overall health, individual and relational functioning, The Daring Way on the importance of authenticity, vulnerability, resiliency and leadership, and identifying values as it relates to you as an individual, couple, and/or family/organization across personal and professional contexts.
The first few sessions give us an opportunity to identify and understand your hopes and goals. I will offer initial impressions, a preliminary plan for our work together, and/or options to connect to community resources and other providers to optimize your potential for success in meeting your personal and professional goals.
My intention is that couples, families, and individuals leave my office empowered to meet life outside the therapy room with intentionality, resiliency, creativity, integrity, humor and a clear sense of self and their relationship to the world.
