Welcome to Johnson Counseling Services! I am Vanessa Johnson and I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia since 2007. I have a BA in psychology from Clark Atlanta University (c/o 2002) and an MS in professional counseling from Georgia State University (c/o 2004). I have worked in a variety of therapeutic environments with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I have a cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approach to therapy. I believe in looking at how our thoughts and beliefs correlate to our emotions and actions in order to seek change.
I enjoy working with a wide range of clients including young children working on social and communication skills, adolescents dealing with mood or behavioral issues, young adults navigating the world of work and adulthood, parenting, and relationship issues to name a few.
