About
My therapeutic practice includes individual, group, and couples counseling to those who need guidance navigating through crisis and conflicts, grief, depression and other emotional life issues. I also offer specialized training in addiction counseling. Psychotherapy is an effective tool in addressing issues that interfere with recovery. People struggling with addictions, and their loved ones, greatly benefit from therapy that guides them to a deeper insight than with 12-step work alone. As a recovering professional, I utilize an array of tools to assist clients, bringing into the therapeutic process my own 25-year recovery history with various types of recovery experience.
If you are uncomfortable and miserable in recovery despite professional treatment, abstinence, active involvement in 12-step programs, there is still hope. I utilize a combination of personal and professional experience to help clients let go of shameful feelings and uncover their blocks to a truly peaceful life.
For those who can't stay sober or avoid self-defeating behaviors, there may be a reason. Being the daughter, sister, wife, friend, colleague, and mother of recovering people provides me with unique insight and perspective on healthier approaches to meeting your needs and getting the most out of your life.
