Hi there! My name is Vanessa Ayude and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I use an eclectic approach consisting of a variety of types of therapy tailored to each person's needs and preferences, including acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, among others. I primarily work with adults ages 18-70 with mood and anxiety disorders as well as assisting people with adjusting to various circumstances and life changes.
I have always wanted to be a counselor since I was a teenager and noticed I love getting to know people on a deep and meaningful level. I am driven by the desire to provide a safe space for people to explore themselves and their issues and help them pave a path towards unfolding the most authentic version of themselves.
During the first session, I will get to know almost everything about you in order to take all influencing factors into account while determining which therapeutic approaches to use and how to best help you reach your identified goals.
