Hi! I look forward to working with you. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor in the state of North Carolina. I love to work with individuals 18-64 and help them with life's ups and downs. I am a compassionate listener and will guide you at your pace. I am a Christian and see the world through the lens of the Bible. I am respectful of others' beliefs and thoughts. We all need help at different times in our lives and I applaud anyone that makes their mental health a priority. Reaching out takes courage, but you will never regret asking for help. I have two cats, Chester and Henry, that provide love and support for me.
I have older parents that need care and support a few times a week, so I enjoy the flexibility of online therapy. My approach is semi-directive but a flexible approach. I listen to the client to see what their concerns and needs are so we can formulate a goal or plan for dealing with issues that are troubling them.
My client focus is working with adults that struggling depression, anxiety, stress or life transitions. My communication style is nonjudgmental and compassionate, open to getting to know what the client's needs are so we can build rapport and trust. As therapist I provide a comfortable welcoming environment that puts clients at ease.
