Valerie is trained in EMDR and has experience working with adults, youth and couples using a wide range of therapeutic approaches. She has experience helping those who struggle with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma and self-esteem issues. Her focus is is with clients who have experienced traumatic experiences, loss and grief. Specializing in Attachmnet Styles and how this affects self and relationships is a focus in counseling as well.
Valerie enjoys working with women who have experienced infidelity or marital trauma. Her focus is helping the client to achieve their personal goals and make progress in their journey.
Using techniques from evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment and co-dependency, as well as solution foucsed Therapy helps to increase emotional regulation and decrease depression or anxiety. Valerie is trained in EMDR and will provide Christian Counseling on request.
Working collaboratively with my clients and having genuine respect, compassion and a non-judgmental acceptance toward painful experiences, I am passionate about helping those who struggle with life challenges.
