Sometimes the ways of the world and personal stressors conflict with what we need to be ok. It can often be difficult to manage and cope with how racism, violence, employment, chronic illness, relationships, parenting, abuse, and past trauma impacts one’s mental and physical health. If your goal is to learn who you are and how to live your authentic self, you have arrived at the right place. I utilize Integrative therapy, which makes room for inclusivity and flexibility at meeting client differences. This includes Cognitive Behavioral, DBT, Family Systems, Gestalt, etc. Diversity in people demands diversity in approaches!
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing Trauma, Chronic Illness, Anxiety, Depression and PTSD. I have more than 6 years helping individuals impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse, to name a few. Sometimes people do not understand how trauma impacts one's functioning. You can learn what is needed for a positive change!
I offer flexible days and times for counseling services, to include Saturday appointments. There are many road blocks that get in the way of seeking help. Work hours, school hours, health, parenting demands, fear and trust issues, just to name a few. I believe you are the expert on your story. You can have restoration with support and acceptance.
