I offer an integrative approach to growth and healing using traditional talk therapy and body-centered modalities. With 20 years in the field, I specialize in relational issues, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, sexual assault, illness, and grief/loss. In addition to traditional psychotherapy education, I have trained in holistic trauma treatments, including EMDR, and am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Senior Training Assistant with Somatic Experiencing Institute.
I engage in ongoing study and am committed to issues of social/racial justice. For 25 years, I’ve studied mindfulness and meditation, am a published poet, and a dedicated gardener. When helpful, I use writing as a therapy tool. I also explore how the relationship with the natural world can ground people and support a state of relaxation and receptivity.
