About
Tired of not living fully. Learn tools to be more engaged and present with your life and the people in it. One such tool is mindfulness. Mindfulness is a way of directing your attention away from habitual thoughts(lists, judgements, negative self talk)and toward experiencing the present(where your life is actually being lived). I believe in the power of this work. Depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, difficult relationships and addictions can be products of molding to others' ideas of who you "should" be. I will work with you to uncover who you want to be.
I specialize in somatic therapy and mindfulness. Soma means body. Our senses are our most immediate door to the present, where life happens. Mindfulness helps focus our awareness here. I work with individuals and couples. Couples work is often about translation. Getting clear about what is being said and what is being received.
I especially like to work with people around self criticism. We are often the hardest on ourselves. Identifying the ways you put yourself down is a crucial step toward making space for positive change. Visit my website at www.gettherapysf.com (click on "Vist my homepage" above).
