I don't know you but I am proud of you for coming here to seek help either for yourself or for someone you care about. When life becomes overwhelming, it can be hard to ask for help. Whatever has brought you here, I am so glad you did. My clients have come to a place where they recognize doing it on their own is no longer working for them. Childhood trauma, medical trauma, dissociation, constant anxiety, depression, hoarding, and self-acceptance around neurodivergence are some of the areas that my clients have challenges. I believe in you and your ability to change and live the life you choose.

I believe meaningful change begins with genuine connection. When you feel truly seen, heard, and understood, healing has room to begin. If you've been carrying anxiety, grief, self-doubt, trauma, or the weight of holding everything together, you don't have to do it alone. Therapy offers a space to slow down, feel supported, and make sense of what you're experiencing. I believe every emotion has something to teach us. We'll approach your experiences with curiosity and compassion, helping you understand yourself rather than judging yourself.

I offer therapy sessions in person or online Monday-Thursday between the hours of 9 to 7.
My goal in every session is simple: I want you to feel safe enough to process whatever you’re carrying, empowered by genuine support and fully validated as I listen to your story. Your sense of safety and nurture in our work together is my number one priority. We work together to build self-esteem, establish healthy boundaries, and reclaim a sense of control over your life.  Clients often tell me that what stands out most is my nonjudgmental presence. Many share that their first session felt far more approachable than they expected.  I also draw on persistence and creativity if progress feels slow.

Clients come to me in trying times for help dealing with issues like depression, grief, anger and marriage issues. I don't see myself as the "expert" who is going to provide all the "answers" but I do promise to walk with my clients as they address the issues we identify together that they want to in therapy. I am comfortable working one on one, or with couples and families from age 6 to adults. I'm also a Pastor and a Chaplain so I have been theologically trained and can explore spiritual issues and crises as a pastoral counselor.

If you are seeking to work through issues that are hindering your life balance, counseling is a great tool. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be part of this growth process in one's life. Everyone is an individual, so I don't use a "cookie cutter" approach with my clients. I learn who you are through building a relationship with you and then I determine the best approach to help you. My clients regularly tell me how much they appreciate how I listen and work through their challenges with them, and they tell their friends about me. The best compliment I receive is getting their referrals.

I offer both online and in person, Mon-Thurs.
You’re exhausted, isolated, and quietly trapped by the negative beliefs that have shaped your life for years. Opening up feels impossible because fear of judgment or criticism keeps you guarded. Even small steps forward can feel daunting. You’ve tried to move past these patterns, but the same thoughts and behaviors keep repeating, leaving you frustrated, defeated, and questioning your worth. On the outside, you may appear fine – but inside, your mind spins with worries, self-doubt, and lingering shame that keep you on edge. What you’re seeking is relief, confidence, and a life where you feel seen, capable, and in control.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
