Hi, I'm Jill! As a therapist, I am deeply committed to fostering healing, growth, and empowerment in individuals navigating life's challenges. My journey into the field of psychology began with a curiosity about the human mind and spirit, and over the years, it evolved into a passion for supporting others on their paths toward emotional well-being and self-discovery.

My practice is dedicated to offering compassion and support for those who struggle with balancing all the roles and relationships that compete for their attention. Clients often ask me: “How can I hold myself together and still be there for my romantic partner, my career, my children, and my extended family? What about making time for fun and having friends?" Another question that comes up in counseling is about wounds from the past that drag a person down, no matter how hard they have tried to move forward and keep a “positive perspective.”

My goal is to provide easy, private, effective, enriching and accessible mental health tele-therapy. I try hard to individualize sessions according to needs. I have previously worked with individuals, families, and groups addressing anxiety, depression, self-harm, communication problems, advocacy, LGBTQIA2S+ and minority struggles, outreach, domestic violence/sexual assault, court appointed programs, incarceration, mental health crisis safety, substance abuse, grief processing, the military, and health related mood management.

I have 18+ years of experience with a wide range of populations and needs. I have helped clients of all ages however, work with only adults at this time. The needs and issues have ranged from at risk/early intervention, relationship issues, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, self esteem, crisis counseling, and many more. The goals of my clients have been to develop effective copings skills and to get help with their own personal mental health journey. Everyone wants to feel supported, not judged, and heard in order to gain back their hope and assurance in their future.

We all have relationship challenges, stressors, and losses. Many times this does not equate to illness or necessitate a diagnosis. My goal is to promote total well-being, prevent further distress, and maintain health and happiness. Originally from Sweden, I have worked here in the United States as a therapist for over 29 years. My husband and I reside with Buster, a German Shepard- Standard Poodle mix, who occasionally assists me with clients. Along with Buster, our blended family consists of seven children and fourteen grandchildren.In my years of experience, I have worked as a medical and psychiatric social worker/therapist in hospitals, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs and in private practice. With respect and compassion, we will work together to increase self-awareness and love for ourselves and others.
