Childhood and adolescence is such an important moment in life. At times, children need help navigating through life stages by learning to cope with challenges or life changes. I believe my role as a professional counselor is to develop supportive and collaborative relationships with clients in order to help foster growth and healing. I also offer parenting tools that can help build meaningful support for youth during their journey. My treatment approach combines the latest advances in Western neuroscience with evidence-based mindfulness practices rooted in Eastern philosophies. I primarily utilize two complementary modalities - Experiential Dynamic Therapy (EDT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). These are evidenced based and trauma-informed treatments that aim to address the root causes of psychological suffering rather than simply addressing the outlying symptoms.

I enjoy working with clients where they are and helping them to work through the difficult situations they are experiencing. Each person has their own unique gifts and strengths that they can learn to depend on. The transition through life can be a very difficult time for both the patient and their family. My goals when working with patients are to help them increase their communication, teach them to embrace differences, help them accept themselves and empower them to tell their own story to find out who they want to be. I have worked with a vast variety of patients from residential, acute, crisis, PHP and IOP services.

Veritas Counseling is a general counseling practice treating many of life's issues: anxiety, depression, couples counseling, family therapy, postpartum, child behaviors, parent coaching, trauma, PTSD, autism, ADHD, stress management, grief, death, and career counseling.  We do not participate with any insurance companies, but we will give you a detailed receipt to submit to your insurance for reimbursement of fees. We also accept all HSA/FSA funds, so if you have HSA money saved you can use it for counseling! Upon client request we also offer Catholic and Christian counseling.
