I have spent my entire career working to help make the lives of others better. From working with the victims of Hurricane Katrina to working and serving the homeless in Washington, DC. The majority of my life has been spent in the service of others. I graduated from Liberty University with a master’s in Professional Counseling and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling: Addiction and Treatment. I have learned to help effectively and efficiently those suffering from mental illness. I believe in treating the whole person, and sometimes that includes working with their families.

You’re driven, capable, and used to figuring things out. But lately, even your usual strategies aren’t cutting it. You’re feeling stuck in patterns—overthinking, overworking, overgiving—and despite your accomplishments, something still feels off. Maybe your relationships feel unbalanced, or you’re tired of holding everything together without space to actually feel your feelings. Therapy isn’t about weakness—it’s about strength. It takes courage to pause, reflect, and intentionally shift long-standing patterns. It’s not just about coping—it’s about evolving.

My ideal client is someone who has been carrying weight they can no longer hold alone — unprocessed trauma, anxiety, depression, or a growing sense that something needs to change. Many of my clients are BIPOC individuals who want a therapist who understands that their mental health doesn't exist separately from their identity or history. They want to break cycles, understand themselves more deeply, and build a life that feels like theirs. They may feel stuck, but somewhere underneath, there's a readiness. That's enough.

What if life felt like more than just a series of transitions? Whether you’re navigating the identity shifts of young adulthood or the beautiful (but exhausting) pressures of starting a family, it’s common to feel like your mental health has slipped into the background. I provide a dedicated space to explore the big questions and the daily stressors—from relationship hurdles to financial anxiety. We won't just talk about the challenges; we’ll uncover your identity within them. You don't have to navigate the "what now?" alone.

You're someone who holds it together on the outside, at work, for your family, for your team, but inside, you feel the constant hum of anxiety, stress, or the weight of a big transition. You’re exhausted by the mental clutter and reacting to every crisis. You don’t want to just vent; you want tangible skills and a clear path forward. You’re looking for a sense of control and calm, so you can build a life that feels intentional and sustainable, not just exhausting.

My clients are high-achievers navigating burnout, trauma, anxiety, and major life transitions. Many are mission-driven professionals and leaders who feel like they "should" have it all together, but can't figure out why they're still stuck despite their insight and effort. You've likely tried therapy before, and know yourself well! Yet something still isn't shifting. Together, we'll go beyond talking about what's happening and actually process it, working to untangle your old patterns and build a life that feels authentic and sustainable.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
