I believe that you deserve the best version of yourself that you can have and that includes working through past trauma/experiences, anxiety, self-esteem, and other concerns.
I strongly believe in the core premise of EMDR that our past experiences and pains influence how we interact with our world today and resolving those pains can lead to the future we desire. I use EMDR along other methods to help you answer the questions you have about yourself and help you build the life you want to have for your future vision of you.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor who has been practicing Trauma Therapy, Grief Work, Crisis Services, Creative Therapies, Somatic Psychology, and Substance Abuse Issues.
My ideal client is anyone who is suffering, hurting, desperate, and motivated for change. I have been practicing counseling since 2004 and have worked in pretty much every scenario possible from prescreening in the emergency room during the pandemic (that was fun), to my early days of group and family work in inpatient psychiatric settings. I started providing Telehealth services in the later part of 2020 and have found this platform to be meaningful and powerful for individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. I believe in a wholistic approach to physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual healing.

Everyone has the capacity to change and heal. Even though life is overwhelming, we can overcome our struggles when we work together. As a helping professional, I build relationships, which amplify the strengths clients already possess. I foster growth by providing a safe environment and wholehearted support. I prioritize genuine connection and belongingness with each person I work with. I can help you recognize and build on your existing resilience and inner resources. Bearing witness to your vulnerability as you face your feelings and move through the healing process is something I deeply value.

If you're ready to make a change and reconnect with your self or those around you, I'd love to walk with you toward your goals. Sometimes we get so bogged down in the day-to-day life that we forget to truly live. Working with me gives you the space to breathe and figure out what you want while taking meaningful steps to feel better. I'm part of an amazing team that also has medication management; however, that is not required of course. I can collaborate with any providers who are important to your journey or we can simply keep it between us. My goal is to help you get unstuck, feeling more positive about your direction.

I see therapy as a descent into the places we’re taught to avoid — the grief, the trauma, the shadows that linger when life unravels.
My approach is psychodynamic and Adlerian at its core, grounded in depth and curiosity. I also weave in DBT, acceptance, and emotional regulation skills so you have tools to hold onto while we sit in the discomfort. The work is both excavation and empowerment — uncovering the story underneath and learning to carry it differently.

I have spent the last 18 years of my career working with pervasive mental health disorders, personality disorders, trauma, and domestic violence.
Do you feel misunderstood, unheard, or unappreciated by others? Have difficulty forming relationships and seeing your own unique value as a human? If you are ready to go on the journey to personal growth to re-write these negative stories in your mind; I will provide you a safe and judgement free space to work through these challenges. My therapeutic approach is integrative; I do not believe that humans are intended to fit into a therapeutic mold, therapy should instead be tailored to meet the individual need.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists
When should I seek treatment for trauma?
Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?
Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?
Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?
It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
