I work most with adolescents to emerging adults who struggle with feeling they are too much or not enough, those affected by trauma, and issues relating to identity, attachment, self esteem, dysregulated emotions, and relational conflict.
We all have our own struggles. Maybe you’re not feeling like yourself lately or can’t seem to keep up with your days. Perhaps your emotions often get the best of you or you're having a hard time connecting with others. You’re stressed, tired, and just want to feel better. I’m here for you. In therapy, you will learn how to manage your mood, develop greater awareness, lean into self-acceptance, overcome trauma, and build more fulfilling relationships. You’ll find a safe, nurturing space where you can be authentically you and heal on your own terms, as we collaborate to create a therapeutic experience that best fits your unique needs.

Let’s be real. If you’re overgiving, overthinking, or carrying more than your share in relationships, you’re not “too much.” You’re exhausted. Many of my clients are high-functioning on paper but emotionally drained underneath. They’re the reliable one, the strong one, and they’re tired of repeating the same patterns. I help adults stuck in people-pleasing, anxiety spirals, resentment, or relationship loops build boundaries, emotional regulation, and self-trust. We’ll identify triggers, map patterns, and practice communication skills you can use right away. This isn’t just venting. We set clear goals and focus on real-life change.

I am an art therapist and licensed professional counselor who helps teens and adults explore, process and heal through creative expression. I help clients navigate anxiety, self-esteem, and their relationship with food and body, along with stress, life transitions, and mood changes.
You might feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, second-guessing, or feeling out of control in certain areas of your life, even when you’re doing everything “right.” You may be used to pushing through or holding yourself to high standards, but are starting to feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or unsure how to move forward. Many of my clients want a more sustainable way to manage emotions, feel steadier, and make changes that last. I also support clients navigating health and body changes, including GLP-1 use, appetite shifts, eating patterns, and body image, while building a more flexible and sustainable relationship with food and self.

Self Esteem Therapists
When should a person seek therapy for low self-esteem?
When self-esteem problems begin to disrupt the healthy daily functioning of an individual, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If a person finds that they are not engaging with friends for fear of being judged, not completing work assignments because they don’t think they’re capable, or not finding romantic love because they don’t feel they’re worthy of it, a therapist may be able to help.

What are the signs of low self-esteem?
Low self-esteem is a common issue that can affect a person's mental and emotional well-being. Some common signs of low self-esteem include negative self-talk, perfectionism, social anxiety, difficulty making decisions, an inability to set boundaries, people-pleasing, and others. A lack of belief in oneself or one’s abilities and a feeling of not being worthy or deserving underlie most of these characteristics.

What causes low self-esteem?
Feelings of low self-worth can begin in childhood or adulthood. Being raised by a highly critical parent or growing up feeling constant disapproval can stay with a person well into adulthood. Specific issues in adulthood may also be a cause of low self-esteem. An unhappy relationship, a dysfunctional work or school experience can impact a person’s feelings of self-worth.

How can therapy improve self-esteem?
Therapists can help identify negative thought patterns that keep the client stuck in a loop of destructive self-talk and develop coping skills to change the voice in their head. A therapist can help with goal-setting, so that clients are better able to stay on task and build confidence from successfully completing work they’re proud of. Coaching a client on how to better communicate can improve relationships. These skills can result in someone with low self-esteem feeling empowered and living with less fear.
