We have worked with families, adolescents and adults in several settings that specialize in eating disorders, trauma, OCD and substance use.
We get to know the whole person; Instead of seeing problems to fix, we see people in need of remembering they are already whole. Whether you are caught in cycles that leave you exhausted, want better relationships but find them splintering, and/or find yourself shutting down or shutting off – you don’t have to suffer in silence. Nor do you have to suffer alone. Our identities often intersect with our struggles and our strengths. We'll meet you where you're at, and help you get where you're going. No matter where you are on your journey of becoming – together healing is possible.

Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, OCD or perfectionism, trauma, or challenges with focus and follow-through.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I integrate eclectic and holistic approaches to meet clients where they are and help them successfully navigate challenges. My goal is to provide as much support as patients’ require in order to help them meet their needs with empathy and care while moving towards reducing the amount of interventions needed therapy goals.

Nothing changes, if nothing changes. When your life feels like a constant struggle or going nowhere, then therapy may be in your best interest. Our mental and emotional life, like anything requires maintenance to keep things in good working order. I won't explore the past in exhaustive detail. Rather, we will identify thought patterns and behaviors that keep you adrift or unhealthy. If your relationships are troubling, you are not alone. They are the most common cause of distress and contribute heavily to anxiety & depression. Engaging in therapy is a major life decision. Decide mindfully about the best fit for you.

I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder ( OCD) and use my extensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) to address the issue.
Whether you’ve tried therapy before or this is your first time, the process of choosing a therapist and getting started can feel overwhelming. It’s daunting, but important, as I believe the fit between client and therapist is one of the most important parts of treatment. I look at therapy as a partnership and try to adapt my therapeutic approach to each client’s unique needs. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel both validated and challenged. Everyone should have an environment where they feel comfortable discussing their thoughts and processing their emotions free of any judgment.

Welcome! As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have been helping individuals and couples overcome obstacles to achieving happiness and contentment for over 30 years. Sometimes the issues can seem insurmountable when it's really the way one is trying to cope with them that is the problem. That way of thinking can often be adjusted and can make all the difference! Whether you're experiencing a situational adjustment related issue or a more longstanding one as an individual or couple with depression, excessive stress, anxiety or anger, help yourself by making an appointment and get started.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
