Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, life transitions, or relationship challenges, I offer a space grounded in empathy, acceptance, and compassion, free of judgment.

My ideal client is someone who’s ready to feel more balanced and in control, even if they’re not sure where to start. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, OCD or perfectionism, trauma, or challenges with focus and follow-through. I also support women navigating sexual concerns and parents who want to feel more confident and effective. What they all have in common is a desire to feel calmer, more connected, and more capable in their daily lives. Together, we work to untangle the thoughts and habits that keep them stuck and build practical tools for lasting change.

I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and use my extensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention ( ERP) to address the issue.
Whether you’ve tried therapy before or this is your first time, the process of choosing a therapist and getting started can feel overwhelming. It’s daunting, but important, as I believe the fit between client and therapist is one of the most important parts of treatment. I look at therapy as a partnership and try to adapt my therapeutic approach to each client’s unique needs. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel both validated and challenged. Everyone should have an environment where they feel comfortable discussing their thoughts and processing their emotions free of any judgment.

I obtained my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I believe that working collaboratively with the client and building an authentic rapport is critical to the counseling relationship. I want to provide an empathetic and warm space that allows an individual to slow down and name the heartaches, pain, and difficulty they are experiencing. My desire is each individual will find therapy as a soft landing spot to be seen and known.

I am passionate about helping individuals and families break the cycle of anxiety and OCD through evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, ERP).
Battling with OCD and anxiety can make you feel stuck. You may feel trapped by routines and rituals you know don’t make sense but feel compelled to do anyway—just in case. You may be avoiding activities you know deep down aren’t dangerous, but the risk feels too great to approach the situation. Your mind is likely racing with all the worst-case-scenarios that you just can’t seem to quiet. Or perhaps you’re a parent watching your child struggle with these issues; and no matter how many times you reassure your child, you just can't seem to help them break this cycle.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) Therapists
Do I need exposure and response prevention therapy?
Many clients decide to seek help for obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors when these symptoms are distressing enough to disrupt everyday life. Any thoughts or behaviors that cause friction in close relationships are also worth addressing. In addition, the client’s symptoms don’t have to be severe for them to benefit from ERP therapy.

Is exposure and response prevention therapy part of cognitive behavioral therapy?
Exposure and response prevention is one specific type of CBT that focuses on behavioral change in response to triggering stimuli. It is related to exposure therapy but adds an additional component of preventing compulsive and harmful responses.

How long does exposure and response prevention therapy take?
While every patient is different, exposure and response prevention therapy typically lasts around 12 sessions, although some treatments can take longer. A therapist will determine if the treatment is complete based on how the client faces their fears, particularly the strongest ones. When a client feels less anxiety about stimuli that once evoked terror or distress, that is generally an indication that they are nearing the end of ERP therapy.

What are the limitations of exposure and response prevention therapy?
The most common pitfalls of exposure and response prevention therapy include not addressing a client’s core fears, allowing the client to avoid their most distressing stimuli, and using imaginary exposure when the client requires real-life exposure (and vice versa). ERP therapy is most effective when the client commits to the full course of treatment; if the client stops early or doesn’t practice what they have learned outside of therapy sessions, they are less likely to have successful outcomes.
