My ideal client is someone who may feel overwhelmed by challenges of daily life. They may be experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, or struggles with self-esteem. These clients come with a deep need for compassion and understanding, wanting to feel heard and understood. Their goals typically revolve around gaining insight into their behavior and thought patterns while working toward emotional stability. Ultimately, my ideal client is someone yearning for change and willing to invest in their personal journey. They desire not just to cope but to thrive.

Though I consider myself a general practitioner, I have a particular passion for working with clients who suffer from the effects of trauma and incorporating a variety of therapeutic interventions to alleviate their trauma-related symptoms, including Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I am trained in EMDR and specialize in Recent Event Protocol EMDR. This technique is conducted when an individual experiences a trauma within 90 days or less of the event to ensure the incident is NOT stored in the brain's memory as a traumatic event, thus causing trauma symptoms and present or future false negative beliefs of oneself.

Since youth, I wondered about human behavior and why people do what they do. To explore this interest further I took a class in comparative behavior and loved it. Since then I looked for opportunities to learn more about people, their actions, and their feelings while trying to find ways to help them improve their lives and feel better. I am lucky enough to be trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I used this advanced therapy process in California at the Anne Sippi Clinics in the service of those suffering severe adult psychopathology (mental health issues) early on in his career.

Trauma can often be at the heart of other issues, like depression, anxiety, anger, low self esteem, self defeating thinking and self destructive behaviors.
I don't believe in practicing from a distance, I bring my real self into the room in an accessible and open way. I am wholeheartedly invested in the people I work with and believe that therapy works best when it's a collaborative process. Ultimately, you just want a therapist who gets you, and I get that. I know it is a daunting task to select someone to support your mental health needs and for me no one is "just a client." I would be honored to work with you. My clinical specialization is Trauma.

You’re worn out from being everything for everyone. You’re balancing relationships, work, and expectations while quietly struggling with anxiety, burnout, or self-doubt. You want peace, confidence, and boundaries that actually hold. You’re looking for a space where you feel understood and reconnected to your inner strength. It’s time to move from overwhelm to self-respect and grounded, intentional living.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
