Hi, I’m Abby, and I’m really glad you’re here! Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. You might be navigating anxiety, relationship stress, life transitions, or a persistent sense of not feeling “enough.” More than anything, you may want clarity, confidence, and relief. Therapy offers a space where you don’t have to hold everything together, a place to slow down, be honest, and finally breathe.

Areas of assessment include (but are not limited to): Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disabilities, Cognitive Delays, Behavior Disorders, and Learning Disabilities, as well as Anxiety Disorders and Mood Disorders.
Given my experiences in both the clinical and school settings, I am aware of the unique developmental needs of individuals over the lifespan and bring a unique understanding of both environments to my practice. I also use test information in working with parents to help build their toolbox of strategies to implement at home if there are behavioral concerns.

With nearly a decade of experience with folks impacted by ADHD, anxiety, and stress from life transitions I approach therapy with the mindset of partnership.
Does it seem like there's always something getting in the way of achieving your goals? Maybe it's difficult to start and finish tasks, maybe you doubt your own abilities, or maybe the little steps along the way are hard to plan and manage. Perhaps you spend a lot of time in your head or seeking reassurance from others. Together we can explore ways to get you moving on the path towards your goals while also increasing self-awareness and self-compassion.

We also provide evaluations for ADHD and autism.
People come to us for different reasons. For some, it’s simply understanding. Maybe why reading takes so long, why writing is so stressful, or why relationships don’t click. For others, it’s not just understanding but also help. To make friends, to keep a scholarship that’s on the rocks, or to simply not cry during math homework every single night.

I provide a warm, non-judgmental space for children, teens, and young adults (especially queer people and young women) to navigate anxiety, ADHD, religious trauma, and family boundaries.
My approach is person-centered, focusing on growth, not "symptom reduction". Using DBT and ACT, I help you navigate people-pleasing, life transitions after college, trauma, and emotion regulation. I’m not a one-size-fits-all therapist, and I believe you’re a collaborative partner in this process.

My ideal client is someone who’s been carrying a lot on their own and is ready for support. They may feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in old patterns, or unsure how to move forward. They’re capable and self‑aware, but life has started to feel heavier than it should. They want clarity, emotional relief, and a space where they can be honest, understood, and supported as they work toward feeling more grounded and connected to themselves.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?
You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?
Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?
Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?
It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
