I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience in the field and providing mental health clinical services for a variety of settings including home-based services, community-based services, school settings, correctional, and residential group homes. For children and adolescents in need of additional support, I provide mental health interventions such as counseling or play therapy and parent consultations. Counseling helps children believe in themselves and find their inner strengths as well as build healthy thinking patterns, coping skills, and healthy behavioral habits. The past two years have brought new challenges to all age groups. It has been a time of reflection and increased depression and anxiety as the world has become a different enviroment than we have known. It is still a journey through this life and not just a destination. I offer trauma informed care to help you along your path. I work with adults, teens and children. Play therapy is one of my specailites and is the best treatment for younger individuals. I also provide support for teens and adults as they are adjusting to a much different experience with work, school, and social activites than in the past.

As a Board Certified Christian Life Coach and Pastoral Counselor, my pastoral heart and experiences bring compassion and wisdom. Having lived in different countries, I understand varied cultures. I specialize in support for individuals, marriages, clergy, pre-marital, facing difficult life situations, spiritual formation, recovery and career choices. Studies show that having a sponsor to hold us accountable for our goals, career choices, job choices, recovery issues, relationship issues, ministry challenges, etc., brings greater success than trying to implement these goals on our own.

We believe it takes small steps to work towards improving your quality of life. We specialize in working with children, adolescents, teens, adults, and families. We are an advocate for family counseling and often find this essential when completing goals towards a positive mental health. We believe counseling is short-term where your family relationships are forever. We offer traditional talk therapy services and animal assisted counseling services. Most of our participants enjoy integrating the horses into counseling sessions while others prefer the comfort of our office on site.

Luckinbill Counseling has a team of caring therapists who are skilled at assessing and diagnosing mental health concerns based on current struggles and your historical information. Your concerns about behavior, emotion, personality, and relationships will be treated using Emotionally Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Trauma concerns will be addressed with an understanding that trauma impacts daily function and interactions. Likewise, early relationships and attachment patterns impact our current relationships. Approach: My training is a blend of Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic therapies. We would probably all like to be living our best life but many of us can’t quite figure out how to make that happen.
