You don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, gain clarity, and begin to make sense of what you’re carrying in a supportive and meaningful way. I work with adult individuals and couples. I specialize in women’s mental health, as well as depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and life transitions. In my work with couples, I support partners in improving communication, navigating conflict, and strengthening emotional connection.

One of my favorite parts of being a therapist is getting to know people and seeing them learn to embrace their imperfections with kindness. Life is hard. We aren't designed to do it alone. Whether you have an extensive trauma history or are experiencing an exciting transition, I am here to help you better understand yourself and your needs. I enjoy working with children, teens, and emerging adults (generally ages 4 to 22). I am licensed in VA and DC and an ADHD- Certified Clinical Services Provider. I have a waiting list for licensure supervision.

Struggling to express your emotions or make sense of difficult experiences can feel isolating. Together, we can cultivate a safe, creative space to explore coping skills, gain new insights, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. I help children, adolescents, and adults work through anxiety, depression, and life transitions using both art therapy and talk therapy. You don’t need any art experience — we focus on self-expression, understanding your feelings, and building your strengths.

Feeling stuck can be exhausting. Maybe anxiety keeps looping in your mind, depression feels heavy, or you’re working to heal from trauma. You might be struggling to focus, manage stress, or simply feel like yourself again. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to face it alone. My role is to walk alongside you—to help you make sense of what’s been happening, find new ways to cope, and start feeling more grounded and confident in your day-to-day life. Healing doesn’t have to happen all at once—it starts with small, intentional steps toward change.

I believe therapy should be a space where people can show up as they are. I work with adults and children experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, behavioral concerns, substance use recovery, and life transitions. I provide individual, family, and couples therapy, supporting communication, identifying patterns, and building healthier coping skills. My approach is warm, direct, down to earth, and collaborative. I gently challenge unhelpful thoughts and behaviors while creating a safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow.

From my perspective, as Virginia Satir stated: "Problems are not the problem, coping is the problem." This means that in order to solve problems we have not solved before, we need to think differently. The solution is in seeing how our personal worldview has helped in some situations and not so much in others. Our stories hold the key there. The problem is also that it is difficult to see how our stories have impacted our life because most are semi-conscious or unconscious. But we have our life experiences to reflect on and find clarity from. My ideal client is someone who wants to get better, thrive and find joy.
