I have been in private practice helping clients achieve optimal emotional well-being since 2010. My specialty is EMDR therapy, however, I also use talk therapy, CBT, and Solution-Focused-Therapy. I have a special place in my heart for EMDR because it is a root-cause approach that can be used for most presenting issues. I have seen the positive outcomes, firsthand, in so many of my clients through utilizing EMDR. EMDR truly unburdens clients from their past struggles and traumas that have shaped who they are today, these struggles manifest as most presenting issues. Together, we will work as a team to achieve your therapy goals.

You might feel sad, angry, and misunderstood even though you feel like you have a lot going for you. You wonder why you keep experiencing difficulty in relationships but feel stuck for fear of being lonely or that it would be too hard to deal with others' reactions to standing up for yourself. You're exhausted from trying to keep everyone else happy and feeling like a doormat sometimes. You don't want to feel this way anymore. You're ready to make a change on your own terms.

I work best with people whose struggles do not fit neatly into one box: bright but overwhelmed teens, adults with ADHD or anxiety, people carrying trauma, professionals under pressure, and clients seeking diagnostic clarity. Many come to me after feeling misunderstood, mislabeled, or stuck despite real effort. I help people slow the picture down, understand the patterns beneath the symptoms, and build a practical path forward.

My clients to this day come from various backgrounds and ages (20 to 94 years old). The older set of patients I see, often feeling alone or 'invisible' relish their time to feel validated. French speaking patients like to be able to speak their native language in a safe environment alongside other ethnic groups.
My new patients are often referred to me by long term existing patients as well as other providers in law enforcement and courts.

Welcome to counseling! My practice is created with you in mind. Yes, I offer relationship counseling for couples and families, but what I've found is that real healing begins with your relationship with yourself. So I like to start by asking some gentle but important questions: What is your relationship with yourself like? Is it kind? Do you feel safe setting boundaries, or even know what they are? how do you care for yourself when things get hard? These questions matter because the way we treat ourselves sets the tone for how we connect with everyone else in our lives. If any of these feel familiar, then you're in the right place.
