I will be on maternity leave mid June through October 5, 2026.
Therapy is about finding healing - it is a space for rectifying our past with our present. What happened before with who we are today. When that reconciliation happens, we find healing and begin to walk in freedom. My purpose is to help you do exactly that. And it starts with you feeling seen and known. When you walk into my office, you will find a welcoming, safe, relaxed environment, and, hopefully, you will feel at home. As your therapist, my goal will be to help you navigate how to walk in true authenticity towards who you are meant to be.

I help my clients with depression and mood disorders, stress, self-confidence, eating disorders, relationship problems, trauma or child abuse, loss, and life transitions.
Psychotherapy profoundly changes lives, and I believe the relationship or "fit" between the therapist and client is one of the most important factors in a successful psychotherapy. My hope is to create a trusting, compassionate relationship, and a private experience in which you feel understood. I can help you better understand the underlying issues which may be contributing to your struggles. You will begin to feel relieved, feel better about yourself, create better relationships, make clearer decisions, resolve painful past experiences, and feel more in control of your life.

My philosophy centers around the belief that underlying personal issues often contribute to the challenges that bring individuals to seek counseling. Recognizing this, I work closely with individuals to address not only conflicts within partnerships and parent-child relationships but also other areas of concern such as job stress, employment struggles, and unresolved childhood issues.

I work with adults who have been impacted by trauma and want to move "past the past" to be more successful in their lives and relationships. You may feel like you are repeating the same patterns in your life; having the same fights with your partner, feeling disconnected with your children or a lack of grounding in your job or relationships. You may feel anger that the things that happened in the past are still impacting you. As adults, we are often re-triggered by the things that happened in the past, even in childhood. If this sounds like you, I may be able to help.

I've authored group therapy books and direct a certified Domestic Violence Intervention Program.
Most of us seek therapy in search of happiness; we know it exists, but we can't seem to get there. I provide honest, straightforward feedback because your time is valuable. While therapy is validating and supportive, meaningful change requires moving beyond comfort zones. My expertise is couples and adult individuals. I specialize in helping people heal trauma, gain insight, correct problem patterns, regulate emotions, develop personal agency, and survive profound loss. As a licensed marriage and family therapist since 1995, I know the importance of healthy relationships with ourselves and others. Working with people is my passion.

My clients to this day come from various backgrounds and ages (20 to 94 years old). The older set of patients I see, often feeling alone or 'invisible' relish their time to feel validated. French speaking patients like to be able to speak their native language in a safe environment alongside other ethnic groups.
My new patients are often referred to me by long term existing patients as well as other providers in law enforcement and courts.

I am passionate about helping clients to gain deeper understanding of their history so that they are able to have healthy relationships throughout their life. Many of us have struggled with family members or in dating due to not having an understanding of our own emotional wounds and how they manifest. You may have heard about attachment styles as an adult but there isn't a class on healthy relationships in school. We all learn what "normal" is by trial and error or watching our family. It makes sense why so many of us struggle! I have helped people navigate this deep work for more than 10 years and I would be honored to help you.

Life is rarely straight forward and relationships can get complicated and messy. Life has its moments of turbulence and peace; times of stability and uncertainty; joy and pain. That's the paradox of life. Maybe your teenager is navigating a tough transition, or the pressures of parenthood has you feeling exhausted. Perhaps you're a young adult trying to manage that stuck feeling. If so, you could be my ideal client.
Together, we can make sense of what's causing you distress and find your pathway to stability, joy, and peace. My promise to you: we'll work on what matters most to you and your family.

Accepting New Clients. Is your teen struggling? It’s hard to be a teen in todays world. They are managing stress, anxiety, motivation, self esteem, and relationships. Sometimes having an outside perspective can help. Helping teens with strategies to help with these important issues is a passion of mine. Domestic Abuse Therapists
What are the most effective ways to recover from domestic abuse?
Leaving an abusive relationship requires tremendous courage, so survivors in treatment should recognize that they have already completed the most important step. Still, the trauma of physical or emotional abuse can be difficult to process and overcome. Therapy can help survivors process trauma, grief, and difficult emotions, treat relevant mental health symptoms, and create a new framework for boundaries and relationships in the future. For some, support groups can also be an invaluable outlet for healing.
When should an individual seek help for domestic abuse?
Victims of intimate partner violence should seek help immediately. It can take substantial time, planning, energy, and courage to leave an abusive relationship, but starting the process—by seeking therapy, calling the domestic violence hotline, or simply confiding in a loved one—will help them get there. Those who have left abusive relationships but haven’t sought treatment can also greatly benefit from therapy to process and heal from the experience.
What are the consequences of staying in an abusive relationship?
Remaining in an abusive relationship has serious repercussions. In addition to the ongoing threat of physical danger and emotional abuse, research shows that intimate partner violence is associated with a range of mental health disorders including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and substance abuse. Therefore it’s important for individuals in an abusive relationship to seek help as soon as possible.
How can you get domestic abuse treatment for someone else?
It can be very complicated to identify and leave an abusive relationship; barriers include the threat of violence, financial instability, and family pressures. Those concerned about a loved one in an abusive relationship should talk to them about the situation, provide them with resources such as the domestic violence hotline, and introduce the idea of seeing a therapist due to their concern for the person’s safety and well-being.
