I also work with individuals who are navigating religious abuse (OTD), relationship challenges, parenting stress, grief, loss, and chronic illness.
My approach to therapy begins with forming mutual trust. I believe in the importance of the therapeutic relationship, the right 'fit', and that a foundation of support and connection can empower you to explore your past and understand how it is impacting your 'now'.

Relational stresses, depression, grief - specifically the challenges of parenting including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders as well as parenting a child with a long term chronic illness or disability.
Even strong, smart, successful people know when to utilize the help of experts. Maybe you’re not in crisis, just a couple in a “good enough” relationship, but some of the time things get painfully off track. Or an individual whose life seems to be going pretty well on the outside – but privately, you’re hurting. Sometimes, your ways of “getting by” turn into habits that need to be amended. It’s not always clear how to go about initiating change and it helps to have an objective perspective. Counseling is a great way to improve your life. Together we will explore, identify, and rebuild habits and patterns to provide lasting change.

Hello, I am a psychologist and an energy healing coach, who loves working with women who are neurodivergent, different and done trying to fit in. After spending years in talk therapy, and feeling like I was just going in circles, I found energy healing work, and started to actually clear and process years of trauma. In the middle of this, I also found out that I have Autism, ADHD and chronic migraines. I love using energy work to help my clients to process the grief, change, challenge and trauma that arises from living in a world that wasn't created for neurodivergent and disabled adults.

Trauma leaves us feeling drained and exhausted, especially those of us with chronic illness, neurodivergence, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
As a disabled, neurodivergent member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I have both clinical and personal perspectives of these populations. Therapy should feel safe and validating, and that’s the type of space I seek to create. I utilize EMDR, IFS, and Somatic Therapy to help my clients achieve their goals, and specialize in letters for gender-affirming care!

I work with individuals and couples navigating chronic illness, pain, loss, identity shifts, and life transitions - experiences that reshape how you see yourself, relate to others, and feel in your body.
Grounded in attachment, family systems, trauma, and somatic awareness, our work won't be about pushing through or surface-level strategies. We thoughtfully explore your internal organization—how emotion, physiology, neuroscience, and relationship patterns interact—so that more integration, intimacy, and a renewed sense of aliveness can emerge.

If you are seeking to work through issues that are hindering your life balance, counseling is a great tool. I consider it an honor and a privilege to be part of this growth process in one's life. Everyone is an individual, so I don't use a "cookie cutter" approach with my clients. I learn who you are through building a relationship with you and then I determine the best approach to help you. My clients regularly tell me how much they appreciate how I listen and work through their challenges with them, and they tell their friends about me. The best compliment I receive is getting their referrals.

We can work together as individuals or in a couple setting to address topics including: Substance Use, Chronic Illness, Codependency, Divorce, Depression, Domestic Violence, Addiction, Family Conflict, Grief, Infidelity, Self-Esteem, Stress, and/or Trauma.
Have you ever felt like life has drained every last bit of strength from you? You’ve told yourself, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’ Yet, through the pain and heartache, you’ve managed to carry on—barely, as a shadow of the person you once were. If your relationship feels like a series of silent days and heated arguments, there is hope. If you or someone you love is caught in the turbulent cycle of substance use, there is hope. If a life-altering diagnosis has left you breathless and reeling, there is still hope. I would be deeply honored to help you rediscover that hope and walk alongside you on the path to healing.

Please click the HIPAA-compliant, secure "My Website" button to contact me versus the "Email Me" button. Many of my clients are coping with symptoms of anxiety, depression and chronic pain which interfere with their quality of life. Still others are facing life changes such as "empty nest", retirement, grandparenthood, estrangement from family or loss of a partner. Mature adults often have needs related to feeling a sense of belonging, purposefulness and overall well-being. I take a "Big Picture" approach to help empower clients to sort out what is meaningful for them.

Chronic Illness Therapists
How does therapy for chronic illness work?
Many people living with a chronic illness may feel they cannot speak honestly about their experience out of embarrassment or fear of being a burden, or because those close to them do not understand, for example, that they may “look good” even if they do not feel good. Therapy sessions are an opportunity to speak openly with someone who knows their symptoms are not in their head and who can offer practical, proven suggestions for managing feelings of grief, shame, or fatigue, such as techniques to challenge unhelpful thoughts about symptoms and develop new ways to respond to them, such as distraction or calming breathing practices.

Can therapy help with physical symptoms of chronic illness?
Yes, especially if an individual with chronic illness has developed depression. People with depression are less likely to maintain their health treatment regimens or to take positive steps to manage physical symptoms when they arise, thereby potentially complicating their medical prognosis. Treatment of depression, through talk therapy, medication, or both, will often improve one’s physical state as it eases the emotional burden of illness.

What are the most effective treatment options for chronic illness?
No one living with a chronic illness, or their loved ones, should see depression as an unavoidable result of their condition. Instead, they should actively seek treatment. Research shows that people with depression are less likely to devote the required time and effort to maintaining or monitoring their health, and so therapy to limit the risk of depression can be vital for physical health as well. Therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction have been found to help individuals reduce stress and anxiety.

How long does therapy for chronic illness take?
There is no set timeline for therapy for people living with chronic illnesses, but many will see a therapist for a number of weeks or months, typically spanning at least 12 weekly sessions. Some people feel that they experience progress faster than others but even some who quickly feel improvement may continue with sessions for months or years. Some people may benefit from maintenance therapy if their symptoms change or they experience a decline in physical health. Others find that the skills learned in short-term therapy can be used on an ongoing basis, even after therapy has concluded.
