Seeking therapy usually comes at a vulnerable time in one's life. Respect for each person's needs at such a time and working to understand the story of one's life are crucial to moving towards a healthier and more adaptive way of living. My goal is to work with individuals in a reliable and supportive environment to better understand and resolve life's challenges. Together we will set goals to change problematic thoughts and behaviors, identify strengths, and build healthier relationships.

You don’t need to be “broken” to come to therapy. Sometimes you just need a space where you can slow down, make sense of what’s been weighing on you, and figure out what actually fits for your life.
You are the expert on your lived experience. I work collaboratively with clients to understand the patterns, stories, and systems shaping their experiences. Together, we co-create practical, meaningful ways forward. Therapy with me is not about labels or quick fixes; it’s about clarity, alignment, and building a life that feels more grounded and intentional.

There are three things you need to understand in order to survive at this thing called life. Those things are clear understanding of when you are giving too much, too little and just enough. Survival is all about balance. As a LPC, my mission is to listen, support and advise individuals with mental challenges to live a balanced stress free lifestyle. I have been practicing counseling for over 10 years in acute, inpatient, outpatient, school, in-home, community and private sectors.

You look like you have it all together, but inside you're exhausted from overthinking, carrying everyone else's needs, and feeling like you can never truly relax. Maybe you're the strong one, the oldest daughter, the high achiever, or the person everyone depends on. You may struggle with anxiety, ADHD, burnout, relationship stress, grief, perfectionism, cultural or family pressures that leave you feeling stuck. In therapy, we'll uncover the "why" behind your patterns, build practical coping skills, strengthen your confidence, boundaries, and emotional regulation, so you can stop surviving and start living a life that feels peace.

I believe in the importance of a person’s story and meeting each person where they are in the present moment, while honoring experiences from the past. There are often events or themes within a person’s childhood that can lead them to experience difficulties later in their lives if left unresolved. These difficulties often appear in the form of unhealthy traits or toxic cycles within romantic relationships or friendships. Other times, there are negative thoughts such as “I should have known better” or “I always do something wrong” that constantly circle in a person’s mind.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.
When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.
How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.
Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
