I work with clients from diverse backgrounds with topics such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationship issues and trauma. I believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship between myself and the client, and I work to foster a comfortable space for talking about possibly uncomfortable subjects.

Not accepting new clients
1.7.24 Thanks for checking out my profile. I’m currently not accepting any new in-person clients but have availability Telehealth. Many of my clients are experiencing sadness, anxiety on rotating subjects, lack of energy, disappearing motivation and inspiration, lack of meaning, emptiness, unsettling thoughts, unexplainable blah or boredom. Maybe the client is someone who is going through a life transition (marriage, moving, romantic break-up, death of a loved one, changing schools or graduating), an unresolvable conflict, or is unable to flee from the grip of the past.

Currently accepting new clients! Connection and comfortability play a key role in the success of therapy. Finding a therapist who has expertise in addressing your specific concerns is essential! I specialize in working with clients who struggle with anxiety, identify as a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), and autistic teens and adults, or those who think they may be neurodivergent. As a parent myself, I also enjoy working with parents of neurodivergent and/or high needs kids.

Finding someone to share your experiences with, whom you can trust is an important step in your journey. I believe challenging times and experiences offer you the greatest potential to create the life you have wanted and dreamt of. While reaching out for help is often the first and most difficult steps to initiating change in our lives and moving toward wholeness, I am so glad that you are here!

Traumatic experiences can and will affect us in various ways. Loneliness, negativity, abandonment, rejection, and our reactions can severely impact our mental health. Ironically, it is often easier to push away people than deal with difficult feelings. Unfortunately, we choose this path by abusing substances, alcohol, and other types of addictions. When we run away from our feelings and challenges, we are not allowing ourselves to heal and recover. Essentially, we are hurting ourselves and others. Together we can work through these difficult experiences and navigate around the painful emotions to feel better and find joy again.

I believe that trust is the foundation of any successful therapeutic relationship. Building trust with my clients is a priority for me, and I take the time to actively listen to their concerns, validate their experiences, and provide support. I believe that it's essential to be authentic and transparent with my clients, so that they can see that I want the best for them. I maintain strict confidentiality and only share information when it is necessary and with my clients' consent. Ultimately, my goal as a counselor is to create a safe and supportive environment, where I can empower my clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.

At some point or another, each of us comes up against sticking points, loss of direction, or painful experiences. It is not always the case that "time heals all wounds." Unresolved issues can impact us over our lifetime. Therapy is one tool to help you unlock your inner strengths for healing and growth. You may be seeking help for your child or teen or trying to understand and support your child better. You may be looking to start therapy for yourself either for the first time or after a long treatment history. Whatever brings you into my office, together we will work to find your unique path to your goals.

I believe a client already has the necessary tools to seek and find healing but may need assistance in identifying their needs, past themes, and hurting parts of themselves. I also believe that we are all uniquely shaped by cultural, environmental, racial, and social factors.

I am an LCSW with extensive experience in trauma and attachment work and have a significant history working with children and their caregivers. I have taken a particular interest in working with caregivers who are experiencing perinatal mental health challenges. I believe in the power of connection: connection to one's own inner sense of self, connection between caregivers and their infants/children to build healthy attachment patterns, connection between couples in the midst of parenting, and the healing connection that can occur through therapy.

Sometimes a person experiences life events that bring up distressing symptoms experienced in both mind and body that prevent functioning or the ability to move forward towards goals and dreams. Often these distressing symptoms are tied to past trauma that will continue to hold that person back unless the trauma is identified and healed. Often clients report symptoms of anxiety and/or depression that are resistant to medications, and experience emotional overwhelm that interferes with their functioning.

Psychological assessment can provide valuable information for individuals seeking to gain information about their social/emotional, behavioral, intellectual, and academic/work functioning. Individuals may seek out psychological assessments for self-exploration, to gain a better understanding of their abilities and patterns of interacting with the world, and to help understand personality traits. Testing can also be used help determine a diagnosis, guide treatment, and offer recommendations to improve overall psychological functioning.

Hello, and welcome! I specialize in working with people pleasing, perfectionism, and helping professionals. Many of my clients find that they "give too much" in relationships, are overly self critical, and feel overwhelmed with too much on their plates. Often my clients believe they should just "try harder," but they keep getting stuck. If any of these ring true for you, we may be a good fit. In therapy, we work together to challenge your mental blocks and build new habits that help you connect authentically in your relationships, be kinder to yourself, and find more balance. I welcome clients from all backgrounds and orientations.

For more than 20 years, I have helped adults, adolescents, and their families to improve their lives through counseling. From my perspective, counseling is a process in which client and therapist work cooperatively on mutually agreed goals, towards client's betterment and emotional health.

It is my privilege to walk alongside you in your journey towards healing and change. I enjoy working with couples and families, as my approach considers our contexts and importance of foundational relationships. I believe that we are products of our environments, relationships, interactions, and cultural contexts. These all play a role in our lives, and it is imperative that we understand how. I will work with you to consider your role and the role that others play on you. My systemic approach seeks to understand and make connections between the individual(s) and other factors.

During difficult times, the word “unravel” resonates with most of us. As human beings, at some point, we are bound to experience life stressors, trauma events, relationship difficulties, grief and loss, parenting struggles etc. I am aware there is no single therapeutic approach, and a range of flexibility and modalities is key to guide and assist in finding resolution and balance. My great passion is bringing healing to the people who have been through traumatic/stressful experiences and struggling to anchor, reflect and or reset. I believe in meeting clients where they are and in creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship.
