We work with all trauma experiences:
abuse
, grief, loss or end of a relationship, life-threatening events, adverse childhood experiences, transitions, bullying, illness, combat stress, shame, invalidation, medical trauma, pregnancy/birth trauma, or social isolation.
We all deserve to feel safe and at peace in the world. Trauma can include any experience that has been overwhelming or where you felt out of control. If unresolved, the effects of trauma can explain a variety of emotional and physical symptoms: chronic tension or anxiety, depression, distrust, reacting to loved ones with anger, absent-mindedness, difficulty setting boundaries or asking for what you need, feeling emotionally or physically numb/disconnected, needing to control or anticipate, aches and pains not otherwise explained by a medical diagnosis, or relying on substances, food or the internet to soothe.
