I enjoy clients from a variety of walks of life. The common denominator is wanting change in their lives and or change in how they treat themselves or think about themselves. They are also tired of being disrespected by others including family members and co-workers and they want guidance for stopping this.

My ideal clients are individuals, teens, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, life transitions, or complex family stressors. Many feel overwhelmed, stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand, or struggling to process painful experiences. Some families are facing high-conflict divorce or parent–child relationship disruptions and want guidance on how to restore trust and stability. These clients want to feel understood, supported, and equipped with tools to move forward. Their goal is healing, stronger relationships, and the ability to manage life’s challenges with confidence, clarity, and emotional resilience.

Life circumstances and our own internal stressors can sometimes seem overwhelming. Therapy can offer a safe place to process and reframe events in our lives that may be causing stress and discomfort. My goal as a therapist is to provide a supportive and strengths-based approach in working with clients. I believe that individuals already have it within themselves to heal and just need the support and encouragement to begin the process. I see the therapeutic environment as an opportunity to collaborate on new ways of thinking to be able to enjoy a more balanced and purposeful life.

We all struggle, but not everyone has a nonjudgmental, safe space to be vulnerable; a place to explore and process private thoughts and feelings. Do you struggle with day-to-day life or you're having problems adjusting to life changes? Maybe you're dealing with anxiety, depression, & unresolved trauma, and it's affecting your quality of life? Life is seasonal, and sometimes relationships suffer and/ or end, or jobs are lost, or kids move away, or we simply have a desire for growth & change! Whatever the reason, don't suffer silently and alone due to guilt & shame. Lets work together, I will hold a safe space for you.

Therapy should be interactive and dynamic and this is generated from focusing on a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approach with a strong grounding in Strengths Perspective. A variety of issues to include Depression and Anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, men's issues, and personality disorders are areas in which I have particular experience in treating. The relationship between therapist and client should be one of trust and competence and it should promote open communication and honesty for change to occur.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
