I aspire to empower my clients and help them to lead meaningful lives, however, that looks to you. My primary work is with anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), adjustment issues, and relationship conflicts. I have experience working with adolescents and adults, but I am open to working with all age groups! My approach utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and techniques from mindfulness and logotherapy.

Virginia Home-Based Counseling, P.C. is an intensive in-home counseling service for children, adolescents, and their families. The goal is to address problems and provide therapeutic services designed to empower individuals and families, allowing them to develop and lead healthier lives. The primary goal of this program is to preserve the family unit and prevent the unnecessary placement of children outside of their homes or community. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services to our community, including but not limited to: assessments, crisis intervention and treatment, individual and family counseling, life skills training, therapeutic parenting techniques, communication and relationship enhancement, individual case management, and 24-hour emergency response.

During these 2 to 4 weeks, we will see both of you Together & Individually, as well as Help each of you Learn the Art of Empathy, Sensitivity & Compassion. These Workshops are Informative & Powerful, in order to Accelerate the Healing Process & Stop any further Damage from Occurring. In Addition, Our Success RATE is 85% of Our Couples that have Successfully Completed Our Couples Workshops or Alcohol Treatment.

Finding our way back to our whole self can be a difficult journey, one that asks us to connect with feelings not yet owned, wounds not yet processed, and longings not yet voiced. When our needs for comfort, validation, protection, and predictability are not met in our relationships, we can be vulnerable to feeling unworthy, unsafe, and that our needs are unimportant. The strategies we have for dealing with our unmet needs often show up in similar patterns for managing stress, distress, and disconnection. Some move towards others, hoping that if we fight loud, long, or hard enough, our pain and anger will eventually be acknowledged.

Noting on my own life I have come to terms with the fact that all individuals are unique in their experiences, how they perceive these experiences, and to their reactions and responses to these experiences. Recognizing worldviews are intricately individualistic, I feel that counseling should be just as unique and aligned to the individual client and their specific needs.
