I have had the opportunity of providing counseling to the Lynchburg and surrounding areas since 2017. Through helping individuals from 3 years to 89 years old, I have experience in assisting those as they navigate through the various stages of life. I believe in using a multi-faceted approach to therapy, as each individual is unique and allow the treatment to be client focused and not restricted for better client outcomes. While I am trained in a variety of mental health needs, I have the strongest proficiency in assisting those struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, behavioral issues, and relationship conflicts.

Elise Angelos is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has worked in clinical mental health and addictions in both outpatient and residential settings. Elise's primary areas of counseling are anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, and substance abuse.

I love to help others feel comfortable in sharing their stories without guilt and shame. I try to give an open space for clients to share what they are looking for during counseling and specific outcomes they would like to achieve. One of my goals is to help clients take time to become aware of their thoughts and feelings amid demanding work, school, and personal schedules. I am passionate about helping other's slow down in the midst of our hurried world and engage in practices that increase awareness of ourselves and of God within our story.

I work with a broad clientele including children ages 10+, adults, families, and couples. Anxiety disorders are a strong interest of mine. I like to collaboratively identify multiple interventions with clients who have goals related to diminishing and managing anxious symptoms. Building a trusting relationship is also important. Ideally, clients will recognize that they have a strong ally in me. I appreciate working with clients interested in learning more about their diagnosis and related symptoms, exploring how they influence them personally and inter-personally, and generally educating themselves about their mental health.
