I work best with individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck, especially those navigating broken relationships, grief, or life transitions. Many of my clients come to me carrying deep pain: the loss of a loved one, the weight of unresolved conflict, or the quiet exhaustion of trying to hold everything together on their own. They often feel unseen, unsure of their next step, or disconnected from their sense of peace and purpose. Whether they are struggling with boundaries, relationship challenges, or internal unrest, they are seeking a place where they can finally exhale and begin to heal.

Waitlist for new clients
In my 15+ years of being a therapist I have found that the traditional face to face support works wonders for some, but is not a good fit for others. Some of my clients have found sitting in one place for 45 minutes a challenge, or feel too much pressure to truly open up and share what they are thinking and feeling. With this in mind, I hope that my practice will serve as a new space for people seeking support in a slightly different manner. I hope to use "walk and talk therapy" to give an outlet to those who would usually outright avoid counseling, or not fully invest as it doesn't work for them.

Do you experience intense emotions that interfere with your relationships, personal goals or values? Do you turn to unhealthy coping strategies to feel better? The world around us can be overwhelming. We often turn to harmful behaviors because they make us feel better in the moment and give us a sense of control in an uncontrollable situation. Yet overusing behaviors such as binge-eating, shopping, drinking alcohol, using substances, or acting impulsively often cause long-term damage that we are later responsible for cleaning up.

I am available on the weekends! You are the person who has it all together on the outside, but inside, you’re constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. You might struggle with a loud inner critic that tells you you’re 'too much' or 'never enough.' Maybe you find yourself over-functioning in relationships, anticipating everyone’s needs while ignoring your own. You aren't 'sensitive' or 'broken'—you’re navigating the long-term echoes of childhood experiences that taught you it wasn't safe to just be. You want to stop living in survival mode and finally feel steady, grounded, and worthy of the space you take up

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
