Founder of TriHealing Counseling Group. Like many "first-generationers", I experienced struggles with cultural and generational differences, the over-critical parent(s), the "never good enough" mentality, and a sense of emotional distance within myself and at times, within my relationship with my family. Through my own journey, I learned to challenge cultural norms, embracing my biculturalism and making decisions on how I wanted to experience the world as an independent Vietnamese-American woman. I often travel between San Jose and Chicago so I provide a hybrid of in-person and virtual therapy sessions.
My approach to therapy is not passive. I will frequently challenge you to step outside your comfort zone, identify self-sabotaging patterns, & reflect on unhealthy energies surrounding you. There is no "one-size-fits-all" in therapy. My role is to work with you to design a individualized and creative space for you to explore - a safe space, more importantly.
Since 2009, I have specialized in high-acuity trauma, various spectrum of depression & anxiety, system-impacted families, life transitions, grief & loss, and more! As a woman of color in a leadership, I strive to inspire & empower my fellow women to step out of their comfort zones, recognize their limits & potentials to be effective leaders in all domains!
