I integrate different methods including IFS, CBT, and attachment-based perspectives into a predominantly narrative therapeutic approach.
Have negative patterns been shaping your life? Are you ready to transform your story—for yourself and future generations? Many of us have beliefs that are binding us to versions of ourselves we're ready to outgrow. As a therapist, I advocate for courageous cycle-breakers and create fiercely empathetic healing spaces. Understanding how personal history, family attachment, trauma/abuse, and societal power imbalances can hijack our life stories, I'm dedicated to helping clients unearth true stories and step into new possibilities of health. I would be honored to support you as you rewrite the role you play in your life story.

I have received training in EMDR, DBT, ACT, and IFS.
As a certified social worker, I understand the profound impact our surrounding environment and unique circumstances has on our individual mental health and overall well-being. Practicing from a multicultural and person-centered framework, I work best when supporting clients who are grappling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and later neurodivergence diagnosis. If you are struggling to navigate challenges and barriers that are preventing you from showing up as your most authentic self, I would consider it a great honor and privilege to guide you on your mental health and wellness journey.

I help kids labeled "too much" and the adults who love them go from survival mode without another behavior system, and I use therapy that finally fits how thier brain is wired. Lets embrace strengths, find calm, and build resilience in a world that feels overwhelming. “What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever said?” asked the boy. “Help,” said the horse. “What’s your best discovery?” asked the mole. “That I’m enough as I am.” — The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse

I use EMDR, parts work ( IFS), and attachment-focused approaches to help you move from just surviving to feeling genuinely secure — in your body, your relationships, and your sense of self.
My approach is collaborative and strengths-based: we go at a pace that feels safe, and we build on what's already working, not just what's broken. I also work with couples on attachment wounds, and offer EMDR Intensives for clients who want focused, accelerated trauma processing outside of a weekly session format.

I want to help you find relief from distressing symptoms such as explosiveness, irritability, chronic pain and fatigue, impulsivity, distractibility, hyper-excitability, social anxiety, fear, mania, and hopelessness. Life wasn’t what I had expected. Having a chronic illness while trying to raise a child with disabilities (DMDD, Anxiety, ADHD, & Autism Spectrum) and being married to a Veteran Navy Corpsman with PTSD from serving with the Marines in Iraq proved challenging. I searched for answers and found success. I became a therapist to spread hope by sharing what I learned.

I integrate evidence-based tools like ACT (to support values-aligned living), EFT (to strengthen emotional connection), IFS (to understand and honor your inner world), CBT/DBT (to manage distress and build skills), and mind-body practices that help regulate the nervous system.
Are you always thinking three steps ahead, replaying conversations, losing track of things, struggling to get started, or feeling exhausted from trying to keep everything together? Maybe motivation has disappeared, things you used to enjoy don’t feel the same, or you’re carrying a heaviness you can’t quite shake. And sometimes, all of that is happening while life itself is changing: becoming a parent, navigating intimacy/relationship challenges, going through separation or divorce, figuring out co-parenting, or questioning who you are beneath the expectations of family, culture, and everything you’ve learned you’re supposed to be.

I also love working with couples and family systems, helping to manage and heal relationships.
You deserve to be heard. You deserve to take up space. You deserve to feel safe and at home in your body. Showing up is the hardest part, so kudos to you for being here and looking around. It takes courage to ask for support, especially when you're used to handling everything on your own. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before but it wasn't helpful. Maybe it was painful to stir up the past and difficult to put overwhelming emotions into words. I can support you differently—using yoga, art, play, and nature to enhance traditional talk therapy. Together, you will learn to heal and create the healthy relationships you’ve been longing for.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
