I integrate EMDR to help process and release the grip of past trauma, and DBT and CBT to provide practical tools for emotional regulation and shifting stuck thought patterns.
I believe that healing is rarely a solo journey; it is a collective process of rediscovering safety, hope, and a life of true purpose. My mission is to provide a therapeutic space that feels as restorative as a walk through the woods—rooted in deep empathy, clinical expertise, and a genuine belief in your resiliency. Much like tending to a garden, healing requires patience, the right environment, and a focus on unique strengths. I am deeply passionate about a holistic approach to wellness, intentionally connecting the mind, body, and soul.

I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, and incorporate techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I work with teens and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or navigating difficult life transitions. Over the past four years, I’ve supported individuals across a variety of settings, including private practice, primary care, and the criminal justice system. These experiences have shaped my grounded, compassionate approach and my belief in meeting clients where they are with care and respect. Together, we focus on identifying meaningful goals and creating realistic, manageable steps toward change, while building practical coping skills that can be used in everyday life.

I’m trained in evidence-based modalities including TF-CBT, EMDR, CBT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
My ideal client is a child, teen, young adult, or adult who feels overwhelmed, stuck, or burned out from trying to hold it all together. Some come from court-involved families where chaos is the norm. Others are just trying to find clarity in a world that often feels upside down. Kids may struggle with big emotions or social skills; older clients might be navigating anxiety, self-doubt, or major life shifts. I offer a grounded, real space to explore not just coping strategies, but deeper meaning — helping clients connect with themselves, expand their view of the world, and move toward something more authentic and aligned.

I believe in, and practice from, a relational perspective to address substance use and mental health concerns. I believe in an individualized approach to meeting my clients where they are and addressing the concerns they believe are most relevant, which helps them reach their full potential for happiness and personal growth. I am a cognitive guy who believes that many of the problems we face can be overcome by examining the way our beliefs influence our thoughts, which influence everything else. It often comes down to thinking about how you think.

I use DBT, CBT, MI, and many other modalities.
My main focus is to provide a safe space for teens to learn and grow. I want them to not only feel safe, but to know they are not alone. I focus on being genuine and realistic, while also teaching them the skills to improve their mental health. While my main focus is on working with adolescents, I enjoy working with young adults as well!

I use ACT, CBT, DBT, and EMDR to help my clients create space between themselves and their thoughts.
Your thoughts can be loud, relentless, and hard to escape. You replay conversations you had with people, worry you’re “too much,” or get stuck in spirals that leave you exhausted with no solution figured out. Maybe you look fine on the outside- but inside, everything feels intense. I work with kids, teens, and young adults who overthink, feel anxious, or get lost in self-doubt. If your brain never seems to take a break, this space is for you. Therapy isn’t about fixing you- it’s about untangling what’s weighing you down and starting to feel more like yourself again.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
