I am certified in TF-CBT, DBT, and have additional training in Brainspotting.
I believe that life circumstances, whether emotional, physical, mental, or spiritual, can create obstacles that interfere with growing as a person. Some stressors don't resolve easily or at all, and need some coaching to get around them. My goal as a clinical mental health counselor is to assist in helping my clients get closer to healing, matching what steps they are ready to take and offering encouragement for a full healing process. I see my role as a therapist as guiding people to their own inner guide, offering clarity, and giving insight into their own lives.

I managed LDS Family Services for 13 years and loved directing the 12-step Addiction Recovery Program in Michigan, New York and Pennsylvania. I've been recruited by multiple residential treatment centers, a hospital, a skilled nursing facility, and by an IOP program assessing and treating substance abuse and domestic violence.

I work with adults who feel emotionally stuck despite being highly self-aware and insightful. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, shame, grief, or distressing experiences that continue to affect daily life and relationships. They are often looking for more than a space to talk — they want a focused approach that helps them process experiences, create meaningful change, and move forward.

Somatic forms of therapy such as EMDR and Brainspotting help to adjust this lens by integrating and fully reprocessing adverse experiences.
I mainly utilize an intensives approach to therapy compared to more traditional hourly sessions. In a brief consultation, we carefully consider your therapy goals and length of time needed to accomplish your goals, typically anywhere from 2-4 days. I use a trauma informed, holistic approach with EMDR, Brainspotting, and IFS at the forefront of treatment.

As a Brainspotting therapist with a deep understanding of how the brain processes emotion and memory, I offer an approach that goes beyond traditional talk therapy.
If overthinking were an Olympic sport, you’d probably have a medal by now. Maybe you’ve spent way too much time replaying conversations, second-guessing decisions, worrying about what might happen, or wondering why you keep ending up in the same patterns. You may have even tried therapy before and thought, “Okay, I understand myself now… I work with individuals and couples who are motivated to change but feel like something deeper is getting in the way. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, trauma, relationship conflict, ADHD, depression, family issues, or the general stress of life, you don’t have to keep spinning your wheels.

Together we'll use EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, DBT skills, CBT, existentialism, and somatic work.
If you're here, something probably feels stuck. Maybe old patterns keep repeating, a difficult past still shapes your present, or life doesn't quite fit the person you actually are anymore. Where you are right now isn't where you have to stay. I work with trauma, anxiety, and depression, and I have a passion for supporting athletes and outdoor adventurers. Often working with fear responses, injuries, the pressure to perform, and the challenges that show up in relation to sport. I also work with people in life transitions and those exploring non-traditional relationships or lifestyles. I'm LGBTQIA+, kink, and CNM/ENM/Poly affirming.

You Do You! That's easy to say, but much harder to accomplish. Because gay and lesbian people face difficult clashes between sexuality; trauma; religion, faith and spirituality; and conflicting cultural and relational demands. Stress, hypervigilance, shame, anxiety, depression and mental confusion are very common in our community. But you have an amazing ability to heal, grow, and thrive if given the right support.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LCSW
Eagle Mountain, UT 84005
In our work together, I use Brainspotting, a powerful brain-based method that helps release trauma held in the body and mind.
Many of my clients come to me feeling stuck, burdened by the weight of depression, past trauma, or patterns of behavior they don’t fully understand but deeply want to change. Some are navigating the complexities of adoption or foster care—questions of identity, belonging, and attachment that can echo throughout life. Others struggle with problematic sexual behaviors that bring shame, secrecy, or strain to relationships. My ideal client is someone who’s ready to look beneath the surface, who wants to heal—not just cope—and who believes, even faintly, that life can feel lighter, more connected, and more whole.

My main treatment modalities are Brainspotting and EMDR.
I love to work with couples too! My trauma background helps me to pinpoint why you and your partner are reacting to each other the way that you are. My sex therapy training helps me to treat intimacy problems. I also practice attachment therapy, and will assess each of you to better understand your "attachment style" for even greater understanding.

Brainspotting Therapists
How does brainspotting work?
Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?
Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?
Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?
A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
