Throughout our life, the ways we learned how to adapt and survive can stop benefiting us in the present. We can get stuck in these same patterns that once kept us safe.
I'm here to listen and to meet you where you are to help you transform your relationship with yourself and others to where you want them to be. I accept you and all of your parts, and I'd love to get to hear the story of how each part of you came to be.
I hope to get to witness your journey of discovering new possibilities and new realities.

I blend EMDR, attachment-focused therapy, somatic/nervous-system work, and creative expression to support deep, sustainable healing.
If your teen is struggling with anxiety, big emotions, shutdowns, or self-harm, parenting can start to feel overwhelming and lonely. I help parents and teens slow things down, understand what’s happening beneath the stress, and rebuild calm and connection at home.

Ex-Mormons, Lifestyle, open relationships, Swingers and otherwise “sexual experimenters” are a big majority of my clientele because they are highly motivated and want results. That said, I’m really in the human behavior and brain science business. It's difficult if not impossible to develop self-confidence and enjoy the pleasures of sexual expression(s) when elements of trauma, shame, and beliefs that you “can’t or shouldn’t” are present. It’s a rare person who hasn’t had their sexual beliefs hijacked at some point to where they “just can’t do it” (whatever that may be) by sheer force of will.

If you’ve spent years being the “strong one,” keeping the peace, or managing other people’s emotions, you may feel disconnected from yourself even while doing everything “right.” I work with adults who want to build stronger boundaries, reduce anxiety, and develop a clearer sense of self, especially when relationships feel intense, confusing, or draining. Many of my clients struggle with codependency, people-pleasing, or feeling responsible for how others feel.

The work we do together focuses on gently shedding layers of persistent shame and limiting fear that maintain unwanted behaviors using experiential and somatic therapies.
My philosophy as a therapist is rooted in the deep respect for your inner knowledge, recognizing you are your own greatest source of wisdom. Helping you remove the barriers and layers that cover your brilliance is my passion. The burden of unprocessed trauma can feel like a cyclone- a frantic, constant struggle to control something that feels overwhelming, menacing and directionless. This can manifest as relentless perfectionism, deep seated shame, being perpetually on edge, disconnection from others and yourself.

If you have experienced complex family dynamics, trauma, religious/spiritual wounding, sexuality, neurodiversity, stress, depression, anxiety, and/or other experiences leaving you feeling disconnected from the life you want to live and relationships you desire, you are not alone.

I often use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Experiential Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Art Therapy, and Implicit Psychotherapy.
Many of us seek therapy because we feel stuck, overwhelmed, plagued with unwanted feelings, or repeating unwanted behaviors or patterns in our lives. We feel unsafe and unsure of how to move forward. My approach to therapy is to walk alongside you with compassion and experience to help you connect with your authentic self, your values, your strengths, and the direction you want to move. Healing often begins when we are able to accept where we are right now while developing the courage and skills to move forward with integrity and confidence. Therapy isn’t about becoming someone different. It’s about becoming more fully yourself.

I believe we all carry a deep inner strength that can guide us through life’s challenges, it’s just that sometimes we need support in uncovering it. My role is to walk alongside you in a compassionate, caring way, helping you connect with that strength and empowering you to move forward.

I combine psychodynamic and somatic therapy to help clients explore both the unconscious mind and the body's responses to emotions.
Although we cannot always remove obstacles in life, we can develop resiliency and coping skills that help us navigate towards fulfillment and growth. It is my fundamental belief that our personal history does not have to determine our future. In my clinical practice, I create a safe, compassionate therapeutic environment where thoughts and feelings are processed to guide you to your unique expression of fulfillment. I am an intern psychotherapist specializing in psychodynamic psychotherapy serving children, adolescents, and adults.

Life can be messy. Kids have meltdowns, teens roll their eyes or shut down, and women often carry the weight of everyone else’s needs while putting their own on hold. In my office, you and/or your child can feel seen and supported. Therapy doesn’t have to feel cold or clinical—it can be warm, creative, and even a little playful. My goal is to create a safe space where children, teens, and women can untangle big feelings, process difficult experiences, and begin to feel more connected and understood—helping with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, trauma, and life transitions.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
