I was trained as a generalist and can treat a wide variety of presenting concerns, including depression, anxiety, and life transitions. I have received additional specialty training in the treatment of trauma-related disorders and sexual functioning. In therapy, I attempt to bring my knowledge of research-based interventions to best collaborate with clients in a way that meets their individual needs. In therapy, clients are seen as equals and are given a voice in the direction of their care. I currently have a waitlist for potential new clients. Please email me if you feel I would be a particular fit for your needs.

Selecting a therapist for counseling, a psychologist for testing and recommendations, or a psychiatrist for medication therapy can be an overwhelming effort. Who is the best fit? What alternatives are there? What approaches work best? Who has a proven track record of caring and effective service? Questions and concerns will be addressed in your first meeting with me.
A mentor once told me that therapy is the best gift you can give to yourself. Throughout my years as a therapist, this continues to ring true. I view therapy as an opportunity to connect, process, and work collaboratively to create positive and meaningful change. I see each person as an individual, and shape my approach to create a sense of openness and comfort. Together, we will identify values as well as obstacles. I believe that the relationship that develops in the therapy room is essential to healing and the therapeutic process is one of the most rewarding gifts you will ever experience.

I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy, but taking the first step to seek help can be incredibly difficult. I seek to always make my virtual office a comfortable, safe, and welcoming place. I aim to meet my clients where they are, identifying and following their driving values and creating every-day change to support healing and wellness. My approach is based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and person-centered theories. This approach is flexible, open-minded, and well-rounded, acknowledging the person as a whole rather than as a diagnosis or a problem to be solved.

I have worked extensively with teens, families and women in crisis. I have worked with many people suffering from schizophrenia and other related disorders. My primary goal is to support clients and help them feel as if they are living their lives to the fullest. I can help you be less worried about the past or the future and more present in the moment. Most importantly, my practice helps clients communicate with and be more connected to the people who matter most in their lives.
I work with seekers. Ambitious, open-minded, passionate people who's mental life is typically defined by something they seek. My therapeutic style is painfully simple, and not helpful to everyone. What do you want? How could you get it? These questions are the primary focus of sessions. Often we find that despite many very real limitations, it is actually our fear which holds us back. I work with individuals who are interested in overcoming their fear and achieving outcomes they want in their life despite the odds.
