I use traditional talk therapy, art,
play
, sandtray, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, movement, and trauma-informed methods of care as well as systems interventions, psychoeducation, parenting interventions, and family therapy.
I work with toddlers through grade school children (2-12) and young adults (18 to 30 years old) struggling with anxiety, ADHD, grief, school-related issues, relationship difficulties, gender dysphoria, exploration of gender identity and expression and/or sexual orientation. I have an attachment-oriented perspective and use
play therapy
and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral techniques, expressive arts, and meditation as well as family therapy to facilitate change. I take a collaborative approach to treatment and examine how processes outside therapy unfold in the context of the therapeutic relationship.
