I am currently accepting new clients for psychological evaluation and Independent Educational Evaluations (IEE). I offer a compassionate and integrated approach. My psychological evaluations result in a comprehensive psychological report, and I aim to "tell the story" of an individual rather than simply assign a "label." All evaluations yield individualized recommendations, and I provide a client-centered, in-depth feedback session aimed at empowerment.

I have extensive experience in play therapy, and I deeply understand its importance in helping children express themselves. I thoroughly enjoy incorporating therapeutic games, art, and creative mediums such as clay and playdough into my work with kids. Allowing children to express themselves in an alternative way allows for a safe environment to explore any difficulties or trauma they have experienced. No matter what your child is going through, I would love to support and guide them towards processing and growth.

Online Telehealth Therapy... I enjoy various approaches to mental health and self-care. I enjoy many pints of ice-cream, bath bombs, a good book, spending time outside, and working out. Most importantly I believe we owe it ourselves, to make sure we are being taken care of and nourished, too, through our own mental health care. Danielle Payne, is a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, having earned a Master of Science in counseling from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Danielle has over ten years of experience in the mental health field, and over five years as a licensed therapist. Danielle earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Environmental Science from the University of New England in Maine. She enjoyed studying the healing effects that nature has on the human psyche. Danielle has worked with clients ranged from 3-75 years old. However, the last 5 years has mainly been with adolescent and young adults.

Yale Teen POWER is a research clinic that does treatment studies to develop and test new behavioral therapies. We work with teens (11-17 years old) who have concerns about eating and weight, such as those who are engaging in binge eating and those who have been bullied because of weight.
