Healing begins when you feel safe to show up fully as yourself—questions, emotions, contradictions and all. My work is centered around helping women, young adults, and faith-transitioning individuals make peace with their past, reconnect with their bodies, and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust. I specialize in working with trauma, body image, perfectionism, anxiety, and religious deconstruction. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck between who they were told to be and who they’re becoming. My role is to walk alongside you as you untangle those old stories and build something more true and whole.

You spent your life being the responsible one, the dependable kid, the overachiever, the emotional caretaker. You learned early how to perform under pressure, and it worked… until it didn’t. Now you’re a capable adult running on shallow sleep, a clenched jaw, tension headaches, and constant irritability. You hold it together all day, then unravel at night. You’ve read the books (and listened to the podcasts) and understand the frameworks, but insight hasn’t changed how your body lives. You’re here because you want focused, effective work, not endless processing.

Feeling the weight of trauma, addiction, or a faith transition? Whether you are navigating religious deconstruction, managing PTSD, or breaking addictive cycles, you don't have to carry it alone. I provide a safe, direct, and collaborative space to share your truth without judgment, while being both supported and challenged. Alongside talk therapy, I offer neurofeedback—a non-invasive approach that addresses the underlying brain dysregulation common to many mental health challenges by retraining neural pathways to shift away from automatic stress, mood, or behavioral loops. Together, let's build a resilient path forward.

Are you a woman who has spent years putting everyone else first — managing the needs around you while quietly losing track of your own? You may feel exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or uncertain how you got here. If you've been shaped by difficult relationships, faith or cultural pressure, family expectations, or past trauma, you already know that carrying it alone isn't working. Therapy here is a space where your voice is finally treated as the authority on your own life. You don't have to shrink to fit here.

Perhaps you've checked the boxes of success, yet there’s a persistent dissonance—a sense that while life looks "full" on the outside, it feels hollow or fragmented on the inside. Whether you are navigating milestones of ambition or the complex deconstruction of faith and purpose, you likely find that standard answers no longer suffice. I work best with curious, insightful individuals who are ready to look beneath the surface of their symptoms. My approach blends clinical rigor with existential depth, creating a space where we don't just "fix" problems, but explore what it means to live a life of authenticity and meaning.

Hi, I’m Maeve! I am passionate about helping neurodivergent and queer folks embrace their uniqueness and find ways to create a meaningful life within a society not built for them. Many of my clients come to me after deeply harmful experiences with past therapists who invalidated their very way-of-being. Do you relate? I would love to be a safe person you can unmask with. I won't judge you for not being "normal", in fact I might even convince you that your neurodivergent and/or queer traits are what make you wonderful! Even if all you do is read this bio, please know that you are perfect the way you are :)

They look capable on the outside. Responsible. Thoughtful. Maybe even the one everyone else leans on. But internally? They’re tired. They’re carrying trauma, anxiety, grief, faith transitions, identity questions, relationship strain, or the quiet weight of chronic stress. They may be navigating a mixed-faith marriage, adoption complexities, chronic health challenges, or the aftermath of domestic violence or sexual abuse. They want relief — but not just symptom relief. They want to feel whole again.

You are the author of your book of life, and I’m here to support you in writing your story. Whether you are experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, navigating a life transition, or just not feeling like yourself, we’ll work together to help your emotions and logic feel in harmony. In some in-person sessions, Sage, my therapy dog in training, joins us, offering a calm, comforting presence. Sage loves connecting with clients—quietly sitting nearby, offering a paw, or simply bringing a sense of safety and warmth. Even in training, she is already a valued part of the healing process.

Secular and Non-Religious Therapists
What is a secular and non religious approach in therapy?
Secular or non-religious therapy is a theoretical orientation used by many therapists and describes a therapeutic approach that does not rely on any specific religious or faith-based beliefs in the therapeutic process. Secular counselors will often approach therapy with an emphasis on evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients, instead of relying on religious practices, such as prayer or belief in God.

Is secular therapy primarily for non-religious people?
Both religious and non-religious individuals can benefit from secular therapy. People exploring their religious or spiritual beliefs may find it especially useful to work with a secular therapist who is unbiased toward any specific religion. While religious individuals might value the connection and familiarity of seeing a counselor who shares their beliefs, secular counseling can offer them the chance to develop coping skills independent of their religious practice, which can be beneficial in various aspects of their lives.

Can a secular approach to therapy help with religious trauma?
One major reason clients may seek a secular therapist is to process previous religious experiences, including religious trauma. Secular therapists can help clients manage symptoms of the trauma through practices such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). They can also encourage clients through talk therapy or psychodynamic approaches to explore the roots of their religious trauma. Since secular therapists do not have any predetermined religious beliefs, they can be particularly helpful for clients looking to explore their own religious beliefs following a history of religious trauma.

What does non religious marriage and premarital counseling involve?
Marriage and premarital counseling typically involves a couple meeting with a therapist to discuss topics such as planning for marriage, navigating a new marriage, addressing relationship challenges, and developing better communication and conflict resolution skills. Non-religious therapists assist couples in achieving these goals without adhering to specific religious beliefs or frameworks, often emphasizing inclusivity and non-judgment, especially for "nontraditional" couples. However, seeking couples therapy from a non-religious counselor does not mean religious topics are off-limits. In fact, non-religious couples from different religious backgrounds may benefit from a secular therapist who remains neutral toward the beliefs of each partner.
