Healing begins when you feel safe to show up fully as yourself—questions, emotions, contradictions and all. My work is centered around helping women, young adults, and faith-transitioning individuals make peace with their past, reconnect with their bodies, and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust. I specialize in working with trauma, body image, perfectionism, anxiety, and religious deconstruction. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck between who they were told to be and who they’re becoming. My role is to walk alongside you as you untangle those old stories and build something more true and whole.

Life doesn’t come with a manual, and sometimes the tools you’ve always relied on stop working. Maybe stress feels heavier than it used to, or relationships that once felt solid now leave you frustrated and disconnected. Many men push through these moments quietly, hoping things will get better on their own, but end up feeling stuck, isolated, or overwhelmed. Therapy can be a place to pause, reset, and learn a different way forward.

Sometimes the life you built no longer feels like it fits. From the outside things may look fine, but inside you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure who you are becoming. Many of my clients are navigating relationship strain, life transitions, or questions about identity, faith, and purpose. I work especially with women exploring identity and direction, as well as couples who want to repair connection and rebuild trust. Therapy is a place to slow things down, understand what’s beneath the stress, and create a life and relationships that feel aligned with your values.

Life is hard! No way around it. Many people are looking for change, peace, love, and acceptance. I help clients to stop dating the same type of people over and over again and finally find healthy partners and relationships. I assist men in achieving success and satisfaction in their careers, relationships, and their life as a whole. For my family cases, I provide solutions to deep-seated conflict or parenting issues that result in improved family functioning and overall happiness. Most importantly, having had diverse experiences in my own life, I believe I have the ability to empathize with what you're going through.

I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, ADHD, and bipolar disorders. Many people come in feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to manage what they’re experiencing. I take a collaborative, skills-based approach helping you better understand your thoughts and emotions while building tools for real change through therapy and, if appropriate, options like TMS, Spravato (esketamine), or ketamine-assisted therapy. I’m passionate about supporting men to engage in mental health through honest, healthy ways. I also strongly believe in providing an affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
